Abstract: This project-based research examined the explorations of the Soekarno-Irian Barat Rupiah banknotes' visual element as textile motifs, which were then produced into a womenswear collection using the digital printing technique. The topic was chosen based on the phenomenon among the society that often sees money only as a payment tool, while actually, it bears more meanings for a nation, including historical, cultural, and political messages, which makes it eligible to be also known as a cultural heritage product that deserves to be preserved. One alternative to preserving the visual elements of a cultural heritage product is through textile and fashion products application. The project started with literature studies and interviews; explorations of motifs, designs, materials, and also style studies; and was completed with fabric and garments production. The considerations behind the aforementioned aspects in the methodology were made through a design thinking framework with mixed-methodological approach which combines qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. The intended impact of this practice work is to create a new perspective towards banknotes as a case study for cultural heritage artefacts whose design elements can be preserved through product application in the creative industry, such as textile and fashion products.

Abstract: Desiccation is the process of extreme drying that results in cracking in materials such as soils. Cracking is a complex process that has the potential to spread and penetrate deeper into the soil, which could lead to instability in earth structures like embankments. A number of desiccation tests were conducted to observe the crack behaviour of manufactured kaolin clay at laboratory scale. All samples were prepared at variation of initial water content and desiccation tests carried out using aluminium desiccation trays. Their crack behaviour was monitored at different thickness and comparison made to the samples tested on different base materials such as ceramic, steel and wood plates. The drying process, crack propagation and pattern were measured and observed daily. A digital image is captured and the crack intensity factor (CIF) calculated manually using a grid system. It was found that a sample of kaolin clay that was 5 mm thick had the highest CIF with rapid propagation and produced non-orthogonal patterns. It also discovered that the thickness of the samples, type of plates utilised and soil state at the start of the test have an impact on the formation and propagation of cracks.

Abstract: Lost foam casting has special requirements on the process performance of molding machinery, and the processing technology of Lost foam casting pattern is one of the core and key technologies of Lost foam casting. The research status of lost foam pattern and the safety problems existing in the process of lost foam casting were analyzed. The mechanical properties of lost foam pattern and its mechanical property model were studied, which provided theoretical support for the research of numerical control processing and safe casting of lost foam pattern. The development of Lost foam casting pattern NC processing technology is conducive to the use of information technology, digital technology to enhance the technological progress of traditional industries, promote the clean production of Lost foam casting, realize energy saving and emission reduction, and promote the rapid development of mechanical equipment manufacturing industry.

Abstract: This work discusses pattern collapse-free drying by application of a sacrificial polymer during the semiconductor wafer cleaning process. The sacrificial polymer is dispensed onto the wafer, displacing the rinse liquid and subsequently dried to form a solid polymer fill within the patterned structure, providing both mechanical support and a means for dry polymer removal by either plasma or thermal exposure. Polymer film thickness, gap fill capability and removal rate are explored for plasma ashable and thermally removable polymer families.

Abstract: We develop a phase field model that describes the elastic distortion of a ferroelastic material with cubic anisotropy due to an arbitrary dislocation network and a uniform external load. The dislocation network is characterized using the Nye tensor and enters the formulation via a set of incompatibility constraints for the internal strain field. The long-range elastic response of the material is obtained by minimization of the free energy that accounts for higher order terms of the order parameters and symmetry-adapted strain gradients. To demonstrate the performance of the model, a minimal version of continuum dislocation dynamics is used to investigate the simultaneous evolution of the network of geometrically necessary dislocations and the internal strain field.

Abstract: The antenna pattern far-field measuring site is important to measure antenna accurately, most of the measuring sites have some problems, which make some deviation comparing simulation results with the standard existence, and will block the design and development of antenna. Therefore, on the basis of the common antenna pattern measurement method, a set of antenna far-field test equipment with level acquisition has been designed, and based on that device some calibration and test methods of antenna pattern suitable for outdoor was proposed. According to this method, it is possible for the same test site to contrast and check the testing data, and the accuracy of the site can be verified and corrected by comparing the measured obtaining within a certain range of the standard level data.

Abstract: This paper deals with issue of properties specification for software verifications and translation between formal languages. Through this paper, the unique framework of property specifications including most kinds of formal specifications logics, automatic methods are shown by a property specifications guided system and PVSL(The Pattern based Visual property Specification Language).Additionally, a properties to specify and structures, Interconnection of them are also described by property charts. In this study, the pattern based visual property specification language (PVSL) is defined and property specifications method is also designed by convenience specifications of required property.Required properties can be described by its charts and analyzes its meaning and structures as using patterns diagrams and property and-or tree. On the other hands, it also guarantees stability and limitation of utilizations of patterns using much stronger specifying Dwyer`s meaning based property classification. The PVSL and property charts use hierarchical state machine notation to take advantage of knowledge a person who is one of practitioners has as much as possible, and for Nu-SMV, CW-CNC. They can be adapted to describe property charts and analyze into examples of CTL(Computation Tree Logic) and Modal Mu-Calculus logic that have been already used. Keywords: Patterns, Property specifications, model checking, Software verification

Abstract: As soft materials, textile materials play important roles in primitive times. Through analysing the patterns in painted pottery, the article propose that the patterns can only be drawn by textile materials, so pens made of textile materials must have been existed in the New Stone Age. It can be deduced that there are two developmental stages of pens, the first is ‘the Old Pens’ stage, at which textile materials are directly used for drawing; the second is ‘the New Pens’ stage, at which textile materials and stick are bound together as pens. What’s more, New Pens predate the existence of painted pottery, as they are tools of drawing on painted pottery.

Abstract: As the traditional construction of stress components, column bases became a typical representative of the perfect unity of Chinese traditional architectural structure component and art component with its rich shapes and vivid carving. For thousands of years, column bases bearing the essence of Chinese traditional culture and religion in the form of objects, and it also showing the exquisite building techniques of Chinese architects in visual form of art. The evolution of pillar bases is not only the epitome of the development of Chinese traditional architectural decorative art, but also the indispensable bright spots of Chinese traditional architectural art.
The column base, commonly known as “Sang Pan” or “column base stock”, which is the foundation under the column. It is a significant component under the column in wooden structure which could increase the stressed area, prevent moisture, keep smoothing as well as prevent the column from moving or sinking and strengthen the pressure. The column base was come into being for demand of enginery in ancient architechtures and had experienced the progress from hiding underground to cropping out. The changes of the column base’s position had made visual changes to the single straight column, with the function of load-bearing and decoration at the same time. The column base gradually become a perfect field where artists could display their skills and it gave artisans much possibility in its shape and decoration. 【1】Therefore, the column base has become the focal point of traditional architechture culture scholars because its decorative function is more than structural demand.
