Abstract: The sulfate reducing bacterium (SRB) diversity of all samples were analyzed by PCR-DGGE technology and the Shannon-Wiener indexes (1.004-3.665) of all the samples were calculated. The results showed that the abundances, advantages and evenness of the sulfate-reducing bacterial community of all the samples showed certain change regularity along the pollution halo direction. The results of CCA analysis showed that the distribution and structure of sulfate reducing bacterium communities showed obvious correlation with the concentration of TPH, DO and other environmental factors.

Abstract: Contamination of groundwater and soil by petroleum hydrocarbons is a widespread environmental problem. In order to quantify the potential of natural attenuation of groundwater at a petroleum contaminated site. The total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) concentrations of 11 rounds were collected during the 1 year monitoring period, and the mass flux technique is used to calculate the attenuation rates. The calculated attenuation rates are between 0.0046-0.0064d-1, which indicating the time to achieve the remediation goal for the contamination site is possible within 3 years by natural attenuation alone.

Abstract: Petroleum contamination has become one of the major soil contaminations. Aiming at petroleum hydrocarbon contamination, the multi-group opposite experiments is set; this paper use some petroleum hydrocarbon-decomposing bacteria to remedy the soil contaminated by different carbon chain petroleum hydrocarbons. Compare and study the remedial results, and study the growth of the bacteria in the decomposing process. The Study shows that the degradation rate of the bacteria to short-chain petroleum hydrocarbons is relatively high; Within 40 days without nutrient substance, degradation rate of bacteria to gasoline and diesel is 80%, degradation rate of bacteria to aromatics and lubricants is 50%, the trend of bacteria’s growth curve and the degradation rate curve of each component are approximate.
