Abstract: The primary activity of an enterprise, where the wastewater samples have been taken, is applying lacquer coatings to glass and the mirrors production. For washing glass before the application of coatings a suspension of powder based on ceric oxide is prepared, which is used as a polishing solution. The physical and chemical properties of industrial sewage waters, generated after glass polishing, and of the initial and spent polishing powder based on ceric oxide have been researched. The optimal doses of flocculating agents for purifying wastewaters in order to reduce turbidity, suspended solids concentration and dry residue have been determined. After the flocculation the advanced treatment of the water was done, by means of filtering elements with pore size 5 and 1 μm, produced by the Pentek Company. The process scheme of wastewater purification, including the physico-chemical method (flocculation) and mechanical purification method by using bag filters, has been developed.

Abstract: A novel process was developed to obtain high content of ceria powder directly from bastnasite mineral. The bastnasite was roasted with NaHCO3 at 550 oC for 2 h, washed with water and dilute HCl respectively to remove impurities, and finally calcined in air. TG-DTA, XRD, XRF, SEM was used to characterize the decomposition process of bastnasite, crystalline phase, the chemical composition, and morphology of the product. The results showed that the concentration of HCl solution was the most important factor in the leaching process, and the calcining temperature of bastnasite mineral should be controlled below 600 oC. The optimal technological parameters were suggested as follows: leaching temperature at 45 oC, for 45min in 3 mol/L HCl, with the weight ratio of solid to liquid of 1:5, and the calcining of the leachate at 600 oC for 2 h. And the high content of ceria (TREO > 80wt %, Ceria/TREO > 85wt %) nanosized (20~100 nm) powder was obtained succeffully, which showed potential application in polishing materials.

Abstract: The powder particles were used for different occasions. The steel wire in tire belt layer was to wear the tools in grinding process. Another point was the wire in crushing to go through the magnetic separation. The wire in rubber powder was mixed with the powder in the process of crushing.It increased the mechanical maintenance frequency and the tool used cost. The solution to this problem was tire reasonable decomposition.
