Abstract: The article presents the influence of different nanomaterials such as nanopowders of ferrum, cobalt and cuprum, suspensions of copper and cobalt oxides nanoparticles and ultrafine humic acids on potato breed “Latona”. We have studied the influence of nanomaterials on morphological and physiological parameters of plants, the yield, its structure and chemical composition of potato as well as on vitamins C and PP in potato tubers. On the basis of investigations we have recommended introduction of biologically active nanomaterials into intensive technology of growing the crop.

Abstract: To reduce mechanical damage to potato caused by potato digger while it works, two kinds of Gansu potato were Researched in compression, moisture content of about 56.8%, 5 different loading rates, three different loading directions, and Experiment results were analyzed in significant difference. The significant results show that loading direction significantly affected on rupture force, the loading rate on the rupture force was extremely significant, varieties of potato significantly affected on compression deformation. Difference analysis results show that loading direction of different pairs not significantly affected on rupture forces, X amount of deformation of the potato was greater. Loading rate 15mm/min, 25 mm/min and 35 mm/min on the rupture force were significantly affected, and loading rate of 45 mm/min and 55 mm/min on the rupture force of impact was consistent, and differences in varieties significantly affected on deformation.

Abstract: In order to optimize vibration digging shovels drag reduction performance parameter, building the regression model of traction resistance between vibration frequency and amplitude, penetrating angle and the traction rate based on the vibration reduction simulation experiment results, moreover, it is optimized. The results show that the effect factors of traction resistance from high to low is the vibration frequency, the traction rate, penetrating angle, amplitude. When the drawing speed is 0.67 m/s, the vibration frequency is 13.77 Hz, vibration amplitude is 11.93 mm, penetrating angle is 8.35 °, optimization value of traction resistance is 1449.59 N. Test results show that: the field test resistance average and the simulation results error is less than 5%, which illustrate that the regression model can better reflect the relationship between the vibration frequency, traction rate, penetrating angle, amplitude and traction resistance.

Abstract: Water-soluble fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) have been synthesized in one step by hydrothermal treatment of potato. Effects of the hydrothermal treatment time, temperature, potato additive amount and pH on the light emissions of the CDs were also studied. HRTEM images of the CDs showed spherical particles with fairly uniform diameter of approximate 2~3 nm, which also dispersed excellently in water. The characteristic absorption peak of CDs appeared at about 280 nm and exhibits a strong bright blue light emission with a high quantum yield (14.2%). The mechanism of the fluorescent emission from CDs was proposed. Moreover, some highly fluorescent CDs were also prepared with other vegetables under the same condition.

Abstract: A trial was conducted to determine the effect of water deficit at tuber initiation of potato regulated with mulched drip irrigation on tuber yield and efficiency of water use in an arid environment. The results indicated that tuber yield of potato was significantly (p<0.05) reduced by 12.7%~23.2% under water deficits compared to full irrigation while potato water use efficiency and irrigation water use efficiency were significantly increased by 10.6%~14.2% and 9.4%~10.6% respectively, but no difference (p>0.05) was found both in water use efficiency and irrigation water use efficiency between water deficit treatments. Therefore, soil water deficit at tuber initiation regulated with mulched drip irrigation could be used to effectively improve potato water use efficiency and irrigation water use efficiency in an arid environment.

Abstract: Potato sizes of the longshu 3, new daping and zhuangshu 3 proceed statistics, the typical value of potato size statistics is got. Application of section modeling technology gets the potato contour data, then the data imports into Solidworks software and generates Potato solid model, application of ANSYS/Ls-dyna software to carry on the research of potato with a certain rate in X, Y, Z three directions of loading stress. The results show that Potato X finite element model to compression stress was 1.27MPa, Y to the maximum stress is 5.84MPa; Z to the maximum stress is 3.9MPa. The tuber compression test finds that the 35mm/min rate in three different loading directions on potato compression force-time curves are different, Y curve is higher than that of X and Z direction, Z curve is higher than the Z, the rupture force Z is more than X and Y direction, X is higher than Y direction, the simulation curves are basically identical to experimental curves.

Abstract: Based on tuber size statistics commercially available Longshu 3, new Daping, Zhuangshu 3, and the typical geometry of the statistical value of the potato be accessed. With application modeling technology contours data were imported into Solid works to generate solid model of potato. Maize grain boundary slice profile image were collected with the digital camera, By dint of the application of image processing technology and slice shape modeling technology the various parts of maize grain (seed coat and horny endosperm, salty endosperm, germ) three-dimensional solid model was generated.

Abstract: An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of water deficit regulated with mulched drip irrigation on photosynthetic physiology characteristics at potato tuber initiation in an arid environment. The results indicated that potato leaf photosynthetic rate (PR), transpiration rate (TR) and stomatal conductance (SC) at tuber initiation were greatly affected by water deficit regulated with mulched drip irrigation. Daily PR varied with a double-peak curve within a day at tuber initiation. The TR increased sharply after 7:00 and the maximum was marked at 13:00 in all the treatments and CK at tuber initiation, then started to decrease, and TR also decreased with soil water deficit level increase, so was SC performance. Significant positive relations (p<0.01, r=0.310**) was found between leaf water use efficiency (WUE) and PR at potato tuber initiation, but significant negative relation between WUE and TR (p<0.01, r=-0.534**) and that between WUE and SC (p<0.01, r=-0.527**) also occurred. Therefore, proper levels of water deficit regulated with mulched drip irrigation could be used to effectively regulate crop photosynthetic physiology characteristics at potato tuber initiation in an arid environment.

Abstract: The production conditions have great influence on nutrition, color, flavor and evaluation of food safety of high temperature (180 °C ~ 190 °C) frying potato chips. The effects of potato slice thickness, total time of drying, frying time, the mixing of antioxidant and synergistic agent and additive on potato chips quality were studied according to the determination of water content, oil content, peroxide value, carbonyl value, acrylamide content and sensory score. The optimum process conditions are show as follows: the slice thickness is 1.0~1.5mm, the drying time is 45~55min, the frying time is 2.0min, the addition mass fraction of antioxidant BHT is 0.02%, the addition mass fraction of synergist citric acid is 0.05% and 0.3% CaCl2 should be added to restrain produce of acrylamide.

Abstract: An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of mulched drip irrigation under water deficit on soil water content (SWC), stored soil water (SSW), daily water consumption (DWC) and ratio of water consumption in total water use (RWC) of potato in an arid area. Five water deficit treatments designed to subject potato to various levels of soil water deficit at different crop growth stages and a full irrigation control were established. The result indicated that the maximum SWC was at 20 cm depth in soil profile and that in 10 to 40 cm increment varied sharply during potato growing season. The SWC, SSW, DWC and RWC were significantly affected by mulched drip irrigation at water deficit regulation stages except at starch accumulation. Therefore, proper levels of soil water deficit regulated with mulched drip irrigation at proper plant growth stages could be used to regulate soil water status, stored soil water and crop water consumption effectively.
