Abstract: The fast evolution of computer technology, sensor technology, MEMS and modern wireless communication technology has impelled development of wireless sensor networks. Wireless sensor networks are consist of a large number of nodes which can be capable of communicating, computing and cooperation in ad hoc model. In this paper, we study the application of wireless sensor networks in power engineering. A device for remote monitoring of electric towers is designed. This paper proposes the implementations of remote wireless centralized electricity meter reading based on wireless sensor network.

Abstract: Basic reserve fund is a part of the power engineering total cost. Reducing its quantity can obviously increase the utilization efficiency of engineering cost. But how can reduce the quantity of basic reserve fund, we can start from its affecting factors. To this, for the affecting factors of basic reserve fund, this paper constructed the significance analysis model about affecting factors based on its actual application situation and Fault Tree Analysis (FAT). Finally, we got the degree and prior about affecting factors of basic reserve fund. Thereby the empirical research result provided a theory reference value which can control the quantity of basic reserve fund in the engineering practice.

Abstract: The electric power engineering project has many characteristics like large scale, long construction period, complex technology, many units involved and so on. In order to avoid risk and improve the risk management efficiency of electric power engineering project, this article established a risk evaluation index system from the perspective of environmental risk, economic risk, technical risk, management risk, and market risk. According to the characteristics of the risk evaluation indicators, it built a multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and took a power construction projects as an example to analyze the application of the model.

Abstract: Effects of hole shapes on film cooling effectiveness downstream of one row of film holes at the blade were investigated using a three-dimensional finite volume method and multi-block technique. The present study also received velocity vectors about different hole shapes. The hole geometries studied include standard cylindrical hole and forward diffused shaped hole and converging slot-hole. It was found that the film cooling effectiveness of cylindrical holes obviously declined along with increasing the blowing ratio. Results of the shaped holes configuration present a marked improvement, with a high effectiveness at the lateral area between adjacent holes and effectiveness of the converging slot-hole was superior to other holes in various blowing ratios. The film cooling effectiveness realized by the slot-holes compared to the cylindrical and forward diffused shaped holes was more excelled at downstream of the intersection of the two slot-holes. The converging slot-hole and forward diffused shaped hole can reduce the vortex intensity, and then enhance the film cooling effectiveness.

Abstract: There are relatively insufficient quality specialized modeling tools for power engineering. Regardless there are few possibilities how to simulate main elements of electric network and systems consisting of them. Beside most used specialized tool EMTP-ATP there is MATLAB with its Simulink library SimPowerSystems and newly also DYNAST with its own growing library of power engineering elements. There are also many other general simulation tools with libraries of elements suitable for power engineering. Therefore there seems to be opportunity to compare quality of mentioned tools in accuracy, reliability, speed and flexibility in high demanding problems. Branch “Power engineering” is very specific, because there is necessary in most cases to simulate multiple technical disciplines. Not only electrical network is to solve, but also connection with mechanical equipment and other devices of power engineering. One of the most powerful tools that meet all these requirements is Dynast. Now new library for electric components was developed to make creation of model easy and fast.

Abstract: Coal char combustion under the O2/CO2 atmosphere is one of the prospect cleaner coal technologies, its combustion characteristics and dynamics research are the foundations of project application. In this paper, the results of a study on the combustion characteristics of three coal chars ( Liupanshui lignite, Zhungeer bituminous ,Qinhuangdao anthracite) under different oxygen volume content (21%、25%、30%、35%)are presented by TGA, the effect of oxygen volume content to coal-char reaction were analyzed. Simultaneously classical dynamics and time effect fractal dynamics had carried on the analysis separately to the coal char combustion. The results showed that, with higher the oxygen content, the lower the ignition、burnout temperatures are, the char combustion time shorten, activation energy reduces slightly whether use classical dynamics or time effect dynamics analysis, and the activation energy obtained by the former is smaller than the latter.

Abstract: Currently, the most widely used method to calculate boiler efficiency is based on wet basis oxygen which is measured by online instrument, rather than on dry oxygen. Consequently, it often results in the deviation of calculation results, as well as bad adaptability to different kinds of coal. In this study, an online calculation method of boiler efficiency as deducted based on the wet oxygen, and validated by typical soft coal and lignite. It is revealed that the results of this calculation model is more close to that of standard calculation method by elementary analysis. Moreover, the online calculation method can exhibit a better performance of coal adaption, which can be used as a method to guide for the better optimization of utility boiler combustion.
