Abstract: Use scissors and cutting pliers to produce some striation marks. The data collection apparatus is used to collect the surface data of such marks produced by scissors and cutting pliers, and then get the profile curve that is vertical to the surface of striation marks. In application of fractal theory, the fractal dimension of such profile curve is then calculated, and further studies are made on its fractal characteristics. As an exploration on tool types and individual identification, this is aimed to provide a new theory and approach to examination identification of striation tool marks.

Abstract: Traditional cam profile curve is not changeable after it is made. So it can’t meet the requirement when the follower needs to change the motion within a short time. Therefore, we designed a new cylindrical cam structure whose profile curve could be reconstructed by adjust inserted depth of the chips. We built its three-dimension object model by SOLIDWORKS and explained its advantages and shortcomings. We illustrated its advantages by provided an example of application. And results show the new cam structure is high versatility and convenient to realize the needs of different follower motion by reconstruct its profile.

Abstract: The corrugated web rail is a special kind of rail structure. Horizontal roller of rolling the corrugated web rail is named as tooth-shaped roller because its shape is close to straight tooth gear. The profile curve of tooth-shaped roller has great influence on the finish product quality , the rolling process and the rolling force of the corrugated web. In this paper, profile curve of tooth-shaped roller of rolling corrugated web rail was designed. FEM model of rolling corrugated web rail was established and the rolling process was simulated by the software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. In the condition of the same reduction and the same rolling speed, the rolling force was compared of experiment profile curve with the designed profile curve. According to the analysis results, the rolling force of the designed profile curve is significantly smaller than that of experimental profile curve. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize profile curve of the tooth-shaped roller to decrease the rolling force.

Abstract: The estimation and characterization of laser cutting heavy plate surface topography is very significant to the study on the formation mechanism of laser cutting surface and the relationship between machined surface formation and the processing parameters. The article characterizes the surface topography of the laser cutting heavy plate based on the fractal geometry theory, use box-counting method to calculate the fractal dimension of the laser cutting heavy plate surface. The results show the laser cutting heavy plate surface of low carbon steel has a obvious fractal feature, the fractal dimension of laser cutting surface range from 1.283 to 1.395 in a certain scale, the laser cutting surface topography is relatively complex, the relation between Fractal dimension D and surface roughness Ra are not linear correspondence, and then the surface topography of laser cutting heavy plate can be comprehensively estimated in accordance with D and Ra.

Abstract: This paper presents a parametric design method of the cam profile curve with UG NX, created the cam curves with law of the curve command, conducted curve continuity analysis with Curve Continuity Analysis command, and the results show that all adjacent curves are tangent continuous. This ensures the design accuracy. The velocity curve and the displacement curve were got through the cam motion simulation, and the motion analysis is consistent with the results of theoretical design. Expressions were changed, and the motion analysis show that the parametric design of the cam contour is reasonable.

Abstract: Abstract. An emergency shelter device is proposed to address the major accidents of rear wheels out of balance due to the tire’s bursting of high-speed car. The design uses the support plate mechanism, in the moment of the tire’s bursting, which would balance the car automatically, when TPMS system issues commands. It achieves the purpose of supporting the car balance and travel that the curved design and calculation of the support plate using sliding friction and rolling friction mechanism, which could effectively avoid secondary accidents caused by the tire’s bursting and have a good prospect.

Abstract: This paper deals with the existing propulsion mechanism, analyzes the disadvantages of the flat key and the spline, studies the features of the eccentric wheel handspike roller movable inner gear profile curve shaped-connection. In an existing chain propulsion mechanism, we change the fit of the inner hole of sprocket gear and the outer circle of intermediate shaft to get a eccentric wheel handspike roller movable inner gear profile curve shaped-connection (a keyless joint), then introduce the propulsion mechanism with eccentric wheel handspike roller movable inner gear profile curve shaped-connection. At last, we create the three-dimensional modeling of the propulsion mechanism, which would lay a solid foundation for the further study. This new propulsion mechanism has such advantages as self-centralizing, easy disassembly, low stress concentration, with a simple fit cross-section, transmitting big torque, suitable for the heavy loads of rock drilling.

Abstract: The GIF image files have high compression ratio, less disk space, fast transmission, etc., which are widely used in the Internet. However, some GIF images’ profile curves are not smooth, which will affect the integration with the background. So, it needs to be polished. In this paper, the major work is polishing the profile curve by using the finite element method. Firstly, it is to extract the profile curve of GIF image. Secondly, it is to establish the energy function of the profile curve and the corresponding minimum problem. Finally, it is to polish the profile curve by using the finite element method. The profile curve polishing algorithm in this paper do not required the curve expressed in explicit or implicit expression. It can make a good approximation of the original curve. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the algorithm is effective and efficient.
