Abstract: It is convenient and effective to use Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) technique in project schedule risk analysis and assessment, but at the same time, the indexes put forward by scholars up to now is quite few, leaving construction schedule risk assessment still difficult to carry out. Therefore, based on PERT network assumption, the shortcomings of current project schedule risk indexes are summarized and new project schedule risk index is put forward to estimate the criticality of each activity and path to provide more information for project schedule controllers. In the case studied, with the application of the new index, the critical index of each activity is given and divided into five levels, and the new index put forward in this paper shows great superiority over the classic indexes.

Abstract: Project management is the overall planning, coordination, and control of a project from beginning to completion. Project management is aimed at meeting a clients requirement in order to produce a functionally and financially viable project. Project management is project management that applies to the construction sector. The construction industry is composed of five sectors: residential, commercial, civil, industrial, and environmental. A construction manager holds the same responsibilities and completes the same processes in each sector. All that separates a construction manager in one sector from one in another is the knowledge of the construction site. This may include different types of equipment, materials, subcontractors, and possibly locations. A contractor is assigned to a construction project once the design has been completed by the architect or is still in progress. This is done by going through a bidding process with different contractors. The contractor is selected by using one of the three selection methods: low-bid selection, best-value selection, or qualifications-based selection. A construction manager should have the ability to handle public safety, time management, decision making, mathematics, and human resources.

Abstract: Firstly, the characteristics and the application of the common project management modes at home and abroad are simply analyzed. Secondly, the common project contract texts at home and abroad are compared and analyzed. Then the construction project management modes based on the contract text are discussed. Hope the research conclusions can give people some help.

Abstract: There is advanced construction technology and successful experience in engineering in the field of Chinese construction, but no project management information technology. Based on the full life-cycle theory, this paper has systematically expounded the core content of project management: management, service and innovation. Project management information system has been discussed, and related research trends summarized as follows: from study on the construction phase to study on the full life cycle project management information. It aims to provide a reference for China's construction industry project management information technology in order to improve the level of project management in China.

Abstract: It has been more than 60 years from people using computer technology in project management. The hardware and software technology have been developed during these 60 years. The development have promoted the information industry progress, and also changed the project management approach. But now, the traditional project management software cannot satisfy the modern management for their limitation. System integration and network based system will be the tendency that the project management software is developing in future.

Abstract: Government-invested construction projects have their own characteristics, and effective management can be achieved only by adopting corresponding appropriate management approaches. The characteristics of government-invested construction project management and corresponding serious problems existed in present management are analyzed and summarized at first. Secondly, the countermeasures to above problems are put forward. Then, an information management system framework for government-invested project management is proposed on the basis of the foregoing work. This framework can realize the fusion of project information management system and E-government system and achieve the institutionalization, standardization, informatization and lifecycle management for government-invested project by means of multiple modernized information technologies and professional software. Finally, the development and application of the developed information system validate the effectiveness to promote the management level of government-invested construction project. The work involved in this paper can provide reference for the management of other similar construction projects.

Abstract: Earned value management is a prerequisite for the wide range of applications in the practice of project management at home and abroad. In this paper, As to the quality of the target cost and schedule goal, To the project cost and schedule performance evaluation, On the basis of reading the relevant literature and researching at home and abroad. Using theory and method, which cost and schedule performance evaluation of earned value management as the research object. Application of project management software, It is greatly meaningful to applying earn value management model to small and medium-sized hydropower stations project.

Abstract: With the fast development of the construction industry, traditional project management cannot deal with some complex construction projects. This paper introduced the development of the project portfolio management and the current situation of the Chinese construction industry. We suggested that project portfolio management is applicable and should be adopted in Chinese construction companies. At last, the implement environment of project portfolio management was discussed.
