Abstract: In order to simulate the diagnosis by feeling the pulse with Traditional Chinese Medicine,the pulse image acquisition system was developed. A CMOS camera attached to a magnifying lens is used to solve the problem that industrial cameras can not carry out the image acquisition in microspur. The improved system could avoid the influence from environment light. The cantilever beam structure was adopted to obtain the pulse-taking pressure value directly and accurately. The thin film is made of the liquid membrane silica gel, which can overcome some shortages of the previous film. The typical pulse images were collected from the MM-3 pulse pattern generator by using the improved system. The results show that the improved system provides reliable conditions for analyzing the pulse information.

Abstract: It is well-known that using pulse voltage could improve the machining accuracy in ECM process. However, the tool electrode wear occurs under some machining conditions in pulse ECM. In order to acquire the high machining accuracy, a method to eliminate the electrode wear by raising the low-level voltage was proposed and the relation between the low-level voltage and the machining accuracy was experimentally investigated in this research. It was found that the low-level voltage of 2V could not only prevent the tool electrode wear, but also improve the machining accuracy and the machining speed. In addition to the low-level voltage, the influence of the pulse duty ratio on the tool wear, the machining speed and accuracy was investigated. It was found that the raised low-level voltage was also effective when the duty ratio was increased and the increased duty ratio itself reduced the tool electrode wear.

Abstract: The pulse is the most important, sensitive and reliable source of information about human activity. Pulse wave contains importantly pathological and physiological information. It has an important significance for clinical diagnosis. The system collects the pulse wave through the HK2000B + integrated pulse sensor firstly, then transfers it by the wireless module, finally sends the signal into the computer through the VISA function provided by the LabView which can realize the serial communication. On the computer, use the LabView to program, so that it can realize the pulse signal real-time data acquisition, data filtering, waveform display, storage, alarm and K value extraction and so on. It has an important meaning to promote the pulse remote and objective realization and it has a great practical value.

Abstract: Densification and sample temperature of alumina (Al2O3) powder during pulsed electric current sintering with different pulse power generators, inverter type and pulsed direct current type were investigated. The sample temperature for inverter generator was higher than that for pulsed direct current generator in same die temperature ranging form 800 to 1400oC. The relative density increased with increasing of the sample temperature.
