Abstract: In many cases it is considered appropriate to estimate, as accurately as possible, the remaining life for various metal constructions, especially when they are of major importance. By estimating as accurately as possible, the risks of yielding during operation, or even causing catastrophes, can be reduced. In order to make this estimate, various investigations are needed on the critical areas established in initial design, or determined during operation. Out of the desire to find ways to improve the procedures applied and to provide more certainty to the conclusions resulting from the technical reports prepared, the paper presents and critically analyzes such a procedure applied to a specific case. Following the analysis, several observations and technical and methodological proposals for improvement are presented, in line with current scientific and technological developments.

Abstract: Al-Si alloys are the most important group among aluminum casting alloys. They are widely used in automotive and aerospace industries. Chemical modification of the Al-Si alloys leads to formation of fine, fibrous Al-Si eutectic mixture ensuring high mechanical properties. The modification is however known to increase the alloy porosity, which may, in turn, result in decrease of its properties. The following paper presents results of the research on quantitative description of the Al-Si cast alloys porosity and influence of Na modification on the porosity of AlSi9Mg alloy. Porosity in the hypoeutectic Al-Si alloys occurs in four types: shrinkage cavities, shrinkage porosity, isolated gas pores and gas pores surrounded by shrinkage porosity. Na modification leads to increase of shrinkage pores volume fraction.

Abstract: Majority structural elements from magnesium alloys are produced by means of casting. The big and complicated elements are mainly sand cast. The aim of the research was to investigate the influence of wall thickness on the castability and microstructure of modern magnesium alloy with RE and Ag additions – QE22. Eight 145x98mm plates have been cast for the research. Their designed thickness was equal: 0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm as well as 6mm. The parameters of microstructure constituents in each cast has been estimated quantitatively. The critical wall thickness, at which liquid alloy fill the mould cavity completely, is equal 4mm. With decreasing wall thickness, percentage of filled cavity is decreasing linearly. Mean area of grain flat section increased 7 times in the thickest plate (from 501μm2 to 3773μm2). The volume fraction of eutectics as well as alloy hardness decreased in the thickest plate.

Abstract: The development mode Transformation of road-transport in China is quantitatively evaluated with recent statistical data base on DEA. It is found that the overall level of China road-transport industry is still low after experienced a leap-over development. Further analysis indicates present level of Road-transport industry development mode mainly results from purely technical inefficiency. Moreover, research discover there are significant regional differences in road transport efficiency in China. Comparing with the technical inefficiency and scale inefficiency in western region ,the efficiency level in eastern region is relatively high,Finally, the paper proposes some corresponding measures to promote the efficiency of Road-transport industry development mode Transformation.

Abstract: The car repair workers would be injured in some part of body because of improper working postures. To reduce the injuries while repairing, changes must be made in the design of the car lying board. The improvement will be made according to the ergonomics theory, thus from the perspective of the comfortable working posture; analyzing from a qualitative nature to a quantitative nature, the design of the car lying board through man-machine analysis module of CATIA software on how to enhance the comfort of car repairing. That will make it possible for the car lying board to change its height and the angle of the pillow board according to the level of fatigue of man, so as to improve the comfort of car repairing. Also, it will provide an important reference to the design of related products.

Abstract: Non-ecological phenomenon of tourism industry makes it improve eco-efficiency and sustainable development. Eco-efficiency and emergy methods are the useful instrument for eco-system, and indicate an empirical relation between environment cost and environment impact. The paper puts forward 4 steps of the tourism industry ecological evaluation by eco-efficiency and emergy analysis. They are: draw tourism industry emergy system diagram; decision research area and set up an emergy evaluation table; set up eco-efficiency index system of tourism industry; collect data and calculate the eco-efficiency of tourism industry. Finally, some questions are discussed: how does the eco-efficiency of tourism industry compare to other sectors of the national and global economy; how to improve eco-efficiency of tourism industry; can eco-efficiency assess the sustainability of tourism industry

Abstract: Today, cloud service has evolved as a network centric, service oriented computing model. Consumers purchase computational resources and network accesses on demand without worrying about the underlying technologies used. However, the concerns of security, reliability and service response availability are also increasing. Although cloud service providers usually committed to the availability scope of Service Level Agreement (SLA), most cloud tenants do not understand the inherent complexity. There is an apparent lack of ability to assess the risks when choosing cloud platform. From the perspective of the cloud computing service layer model, this paper defines and analyses a quantitative evaluation method of the availability of cloud service. And it proposes the concepts of availability unit (AU), availability set (AS), standalone availability (SA) and deployment availability (DA). Also discusses the algorithm relationships among all levels of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS on cloud computing service.

Abstract: Usually the covering part of large frame structure is heavy and it is difficult to measure the stiffness of the covering part. In this paper, it makes use of virtual instrument instead of traditional instrument. In addition, it adopts LabVIEW as development platform and the hardware includes stepping motor, data acquisition card of NI, force sensor and displacement sensor, etc. The portable plate stiffness tester is developed successfully, which is applied to industrial field. It is normative and accuracy for the quantitative evaluation of the covering parts stiffness, which plays an important role for guiding production. LabVIEW development platform relative to traditional instrument has many advantages, such as real-time display and storage, efficient data processing and powerful database management and so on.
