Abstract: This paper presents different examples of automatic generation of queries to be implemented in a b-learning platform. Queries can be used as complementary contents and self-assessment by students in Manufacturing Processes subjects. They are useful when the available time for classroom teaching is reduced and also in blended applications, allowing students the consolidation of in-person received knowledge. Firstly, some considerations about the teaching of Manufacturing Processes subjects and about the types of queries to be generated automatically are explored. Secondly, a list of potential manufacturing topics for which this methodology is suitable is proposed, selecting three of them. Finally, and by means of non-specialized computer tools, an example of application is developed and the obtained results are presented in each topic.

Abstract: A questionnaire is a research instrument consisting of a series of questions and other prompts for the purpose of gathering information from respondents. Although they are often designed for statistical analysis of the responses, this is not always the case. The agility index is defined as a combination of timeliness and profitability. Both timeliness and profitability refers to the performance of a company at a strategic level. This paper discusses about the key factors to be considered and the procedure to be followed while constructing a questionnaire for evaluating the agility index in an original equipment manufacturing industry.Key words: Agility index, Questionnaires, Statistical Analysis.

Abstract: In order to optimize the questionnaires of lane-changing, to resolve the difficult question of small special the paper adopted a method of union design to get a plan on the method of SP and RP. The result showed that the answer and question were deduced, and drop the intension of reading and judging. The optimize questionnaires and conventional method were coherence. It could get all-sided characteristics of lane-changing.

Abstract: This paper presents the results of empirical research conducted during March to September 2009. The study focused on the influence of virtual research and development (R&D) teams within Malaysian manufacturing small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The specific objective of the study is better understanding of the application of collaborative technologies in business, to find the effective factors to assist SMEs to remain competitive in the future. The paper stresses to find an answer for a question “Is there any relationship between company size, Internet connection facility and virtuality”. The survey data shows SMEs are now technologically capable of performing the virtual collaborative team, but the infrastructure usage is less. SMEs now have the necessary technology to begin the implementation process of collaboration tools to reduce research and development (R&D) time, costs and increase productivity. So, the manager of R&D should take the potentials of virtual teams into account.

Abstract: The disposal of solid waste using landfilling method has become a critical issue in Malaysia especially when concerning their impact towards environment. Eventhough the landfilling strategy applied in Malaysia is a very much improved version; gas and leachate produced from the landfill site still gave a major health issue to the existing residents. Thus, the work performance has been questioned. This paper presents a survey study of the environmental impacts to the nearby residents emerged from the landfilling activities at Jabi town, located in Kedah state, Malaysia based on their awareness and perceptions. Using the data collected, the work performance at site can be assessed. The landfill site has been categorised as a semi aerobic sanitary landfill. A self-administered questionnaire was used as a data collection tools. The level of severity has been determined using Severity Index method. From the discussions, the environmental impacts at specific site can be categorized as light problems and in a control condition. The work performance of selected landfill can be categorised as good due to the level of severity concluded.

Abstract: Research into landscape change was one of two major fields of interdisciplinary research into the human dimensions of environmental change, the other being the approach of socio-economic metabolism; the causes of which were complicated and comprehensive. Based on the household level interview, analyzing the causes of change by the multifactor was a good method. We applied the household level interview data to analyze the causes of landscape cover change at the upper reach of Minjiang, China. The causes of landscape change at the upper reach of Minjiang included agriculture, wood, infrastructure, economy, technology, policy & institution, demography and culture variables, etc. The results showed that the primary causes of landscape change at the upper reach of Minjiang were the correlative country policies (such as the Great Leap Forward, the Deforestation, the Institutional Revolution, the Planned Parenthood, the Open-up, the Natural Forest Conservation Program) and triggered event (such as the three years’ natural disaster) at the large scale, however, at the small scale such as at the village level, the principal cause of which was different, and there were the interplay among different factors. So we thought that the landscape cover change was the result of multifactor interplay at the upper reach of Minjiang, China.
