Abstract: This work focuses on diagnostic methodologies for composite repair patch based on structural health monitoring (SHM) technology. Methodologies based on ultrasonic guided waves (GW) are developed and assessed for monitoring composite scarf repair with piezoelectric transducers. The effectiveness of the RAPID (reconstruction algorithm for probabilistic inspection of defects) algorithm was investigated for adhesively bonded composite patch repair. A composite scarf repair has been weakened by 4-point bending fatigue test and impacted after to generate a Barely Visible Damage (BVID). Both conventional RAPID technique, which requires baseline signals, and the Scaling Subtraction Method (SSM) were applied to detect damage in the bondline. The conventional method showed good performance for defect detection and localization whereas the SSM gives encouraging results for non-linear baseline-free RAPID.

Abstract: The paper presents finding certain geometric objects in an image of the work area. Using offline programming of robots ABB RobotStudio program is ordered using these objects in a predetermined order. A significant number of high-performance algorithms used in image processing using methods and techniques of artificial intelligence. On the other hand, artificial intelligence requires intersection area and building systems capable of performing the functions of the human intellect: experiential learning, natural language understanding and the use of reasoning to solve problems or make decisions. All these imply, however, accumulating a certain amount of information (knowledge base, environmental information, etc.). This information is taken from the intelligent sensors, and creates an image of the environment when taking data. The image thus obtained is extracted useful information. However the field of artificial vision is a common discipline both image processing and artificial intelligence. In the first stage, objects placed in the normal position as to determine the geometrical shape feature. Determine a range of appropriate methods for recognizing geometric shapes (square, circle, rectangle, etc.). Using ABB robot with gripper each object is positioned firmly in place .

Abstract: In order to quickly detect the harmful substances in food, a multiple channel portable food safety detector which can be used in the field test is designed. The detector uses the newly national standards and methods, and the combination of Windows CE Operate System and colorful LED touch screen was adopted in this design, changing the operate tool from mouse to fingers, making the operation much more simple and convenient. The result of experiment shows that the system has the advantage such as easy operating, portable, high performance and high reliability. And it can detect Pesticides residue more quickly and accurately, and the measurement error are between ±2% and ±4%, which meets the national standards and its design require.

Abstract: a new method for rapid detection of formaldehyde has been developed in this research. Under this method, the formaldehyde solution has condensation reaction with 4-amino-3-hydrazine-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole (AHMT) and is oxidized by potassium periodate to produce purple chemical compounds. The method for rapid detection of the formaldehyde content in textiles has been optimized after researching primary influencing factors and considering the specimen extraction effect in GB/T 2912.1-2009.This method is sensitive, accurate and fast, taking only 12.5min, 9.6 times faster than the method provided in GB/T 2912.1-2009.

Abstract: Usually the support environment for network teaching needs establishing in short time for numerous training activities. In order to meet the general requirements of many trainings, a relatively complete network teaching system is designed based on B/S mode and with adoption of ASP.NET and C# etc. key technologies and programming language, achieving the rapid transfer, sharing and communication and effective management of teaching information. The method can rapidly construct the network teaching environment with such features as universality, convenience, economy and expansibility etc.

Abstract: At present, there are many commonly used maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control methods for solar photovoltaic system which have different degrees of output fluctuations. In order to solve the problem and improve the response speed further, a novel MPPT algorithm based on the extreme learning machine was put forward in this paper. Using the extreme learning machine which has small error, fast speed and simple structure train a mathematical model with the environmental temperature and light intensity as input and the maximum power point as output, the model can be used as the controller of the photovoltaic cells. The simulation results show that the error of the model meets the requirements, when the ambient temperature and light intensity change, it can respond quickly so as to photovoltaic cells work at the maximum power point and operate stably.

Abstract: Guided wave tomography is an attractive tool for the detection and monitoring of the critical area in a structure. Using signal difference coefficient (SDC) as the tomographic feature, RAPID (Reconstruction Algorithm for the Probabilistic Inspection of Damage) is an effective and flexible tomography algorithm. In this algorithm, signal changes are exclusively attributed to the structural variation. However, external environment factors like water loading or oil loading also change signals significantly. The presence of anti-symmetric mode with a predominant out of plane displacement makes it very sensitive to these interferences and leads to false alarms. In this paper, Lamb wave is excited in the low-frequency domain, where only the fundamental modes A0 and S0 exist. The significant difference in group velocity between the two modes makes it possible to separate them in time domain. A new method is proposed to extract pure S0 mode signal as valid measurement data to improve the algorithm in addressing false alarm caused by water loading. The results of the experiment demonstrate that the improved algorithm has the capability of providing accurate identification of damage in the presence of water loading.

Abstract: In order to set up well-structured multitasking robot application programs careful planning is required. Robot programming languages (e.g. Karel, RAPID, Melfa, SimPro, etc.) vary from robot to robot constructor. General planning tools used in software development (e.g. UML, IDEF, etc.) require adequate professional skills and a special way of thinking such that robot programmers to apply and adapt them to the specificity of each robot programming language. Customized and intuitive planning tools of robot applications with regard to each particular programming language seem to be preferred by ordinary robot programmers and operators when facing with the development of complex robot tasks. This paper introduces such a tool in relation to the RAPIDTM programming language, specific to ABB robot models. Its effectiveness is revealed in a case study.
