Abstract: In many spheres of human activities devices that work on increased frequency current are widely applied. 50 Hz current can be converted into increased frequency (100-400 Hz) current using synchronous reactive converters, which are based on exude and usage of higher harmonics.

Abstract: Two reactive antibacterials were applied to finish for polyester/cotton (T/C) blend fabrics (20/80) and (35/65) and the optimal finishing process was obtained by orthogonal experiments. The finished fabrics were undergone the evaluation of antibacterial performance. For both of the two antibacterials and two T/C fabrics, the lowest inhibition rates for Staphyloccocus aureus were 85.97% and 79.19% after 50 washing cycles. The results indicated that the treated fabric had good antibacterial performance and washing durability.

Abstract: A cognitive routing system intelligently selects one protocol at a time for specific routing conditions and environment in MANET. Cognition or self-learning can be achieved in a cognitive routing system for mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) through a learning system like learning automata or neural networks. This article covers the application of learning automata and neural network to achieve cognition in MANET routing system. Mobile Ad-hoc networks are dynamic in nature and lack any fixed infrastructure, so the implementation of cognition enhances the performance of overall routing system in these networks. In learning automata the process of learning is different from reasoning or decision making. Learning automata require little knowledge to take decisions. Neural network can be improved by increasing the number of neurons and changing parameters. Self-training enhance neural network performance and it select suitable protocol for a given network environment.
Cognition in MANET is either based upon learning automata as in some wireless sensor networks or specialized cognitive neural networks like Elman network. Learning automata do not follow predetermine rules and has the ability to learn and evolve. The interaction of learning automata with the MANET environment results in the evolution of cognition system.

Abstract: This paper mainly presents the DSTATCOM (Distribution Static Compensator) and its control methodology of DC capacitor voltage. Generally, the dc capacitor voltage is regulated using a PI controller where various control algorithms are used for load compensation. Whenever there is a change in load there is considerable variation in dc capacitor voltage which might affect compensation. In this work, a supervisory method is proposed to reduce the dc link rating. The reduction in dc link voltage leads to the reduction in switching frequency and hence switching losses A considerable reduction in the in dc link capacitor voltage is obtained without compromising the compensating capability. The major power quality issues discussed in this work are harmonics and power factor reduction. The performance of the proposed strategy is proved using the detailed MATLAB simulation studies.

Abstract: A new reactive water-soluble isothiazolinone antibacterial was synthesized and characterized by 1H-NMR and ESI-MS. Through the orthogonal experiments, the optimal finishing process for cotton fabric was got, that was the bath ratio 1:20, Na2SO4 20 g/L, NaHCO3 15 g/L, t1: 30 min, t2: 50 min, T1: 50oC, T2: 95oC. The antibacterial evaluations of treated cotton fabrics showed that the antibacterial rate for S. aureus was 92.92%, and 86.04% after 50 washing cycles. The results indicated that the treated fabric had excellent antibacterial performance and washing durability.

Abstract: Titanium dioxide thin films were deposited by DC reactive magnetron sputtering on silicon wafer and glass slide at sputtering power of 210 watt under total pressure of 5.0×10-3 mbar at different oxygen partial pressure. A pure metallic titanium target was sputtered in a mixture of argon and oxygen gases. The crystal structure and surface morphology were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively. The optical transmission was measured by spectrophotometer. The results show that the crystalline was pure anatase structure titanium dioxide thin films. The surface morphology of the films is strongly the oxygen partial pressure. It was found that surface roughness of the thin films was around 2.42 to 4.82 nm and the thickness was around 72 to130 nm. In addition, it was found that all the titanium dioxide thin films were deposited by reactive sputtering with the different oxygen pressure exhibit the transparency property.

Abstract: A new antibacterial with two reactive groups was synthesized from isothiazolin-3-one and characterized by 1H-NMR and ESI-MS. Through the orthogonal experiments the optimal finishing process was got, that was bath ratio 1:20, Na2SO4 20 g/L, NaHCO315 g/L, T1:60°C, T2:70°C, t1:10 min, t2:20 min, t3:30 min (as shown in fig.1). The antibacterial evaluations of treated cotton fabrics showed that the antibacterial rates for Escherichia coli and Staphyloccocus aureus were 95.64% and 97.83% respectively, and 88.13% and 90.05% respectively after 30 washing cycles. The results indicated that the treated fabric had excellent antibacterial performance and washing durability.
