Abstract: This contribution reports on the progress in the EVA project. This project was started in 2017 based on past experiences made in the framework of workshops and design studios at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Within these workshops different concepts toward energy-active and reactive architectural concepts was conceived and realized into scale models. The major design goal was to provide a built structure that is not only energy efficient, but also comfortable for occupants, and can display dynamic behavior in response to stimuli from the surroundings and the occupants. To construct the designs into scale models, different supportive tools and techniques were deployed, such as numeric thermal building simulation, parametric design programming, electronic control loops and mechatronic systems. Moreover, the different designs and concepts were inspired by a wide range of ressources, such as biology, bionics, natural phenomena, and traditional architectural concepts. Partly, these concepts (e.g. the photosynthesis of algae plants) were integrated in the scale models. As such, the workshops and design studios could be considered a success. New, challenging, and exciting designs were developed, and engineered in terms of scale models. However, the proof of concept in terms of real life implementation is missing. This gap will be bridged by the EVA project, which targets the evaluation of different concepts and the realization of the most promising project as a fully functional full scale mock-up. Needless to say, the level of complexity increases by the scale: Aspects of structural and dynamic stability have to be considered, mechatronic elements have to be constructed, and intelligent and reliable building control modi have to be implemented.This paper describes the first phase of this project, which is the collection, description, and structured evaluation of a number of design studies from the past years. Thereby, it was decided not only to assess projects that were designed in the framework of the University of Applied Arts, but to investigate similar design studies from professional and academic backgrounds worldwide The contribution concludes with an outlook of the project’s next steps.

Abstract: The contact thermal insulation system is a major trend in building construction in the Czech Republic. In this way both for new buildings and for renovations to improve thermal and technical parameters of buildings. Effort of an extension of the construction season, however, causes frequent visits of the application of this system in unsuitable weather conditions. One of the important layers in the systems ETICS (which is the contact thermal insulation of the building) is the basic layer with glass-fibre reinforcing mesh. Such a cover layer of thermal insulation and at the same time a basis for the final outer layer - plaster. Climatic conditions during application are given by the manufacturer. Normal temperature is indicated by + 5°C to +30°C. The lower boundary is not often observed. That's why I have my research and thesis focused on testing the parameters of the base layer made outside the ideal conditions. I thus produced samples underwent laboratory tests and watching the resulting parameters. This article provides a brief description of the testing methods and their advantages and disadvantages. The methods used were, for example, tests in flexural strength, pressure, water absorption test or tests of beginning and end of solidification. The most important findings of my research were the facts that significantly limit the applicability of standardized tests to determine the beginning and end of solidification. For the base layer samples of 4mm even these methods give very distorted information. Another effort of my research will be to verify these results and determine how it will be necessary to modify the methodology of testing, we received the relevant data. Preliminary hypothesis is at least the size of a substitute specimens - especially reducing the sample thickness from 40 mm to 4-6 mm, which corresponds to the reality of practical implementation. The data obtained would subsequently be used to adjust the rules for testing insulation systems. Data were obtained primarily from my research within VUT FAST brand FAST‑J‑10‑50

Abstract: The low utilization rate of the traditional lighting system lighting and the overall layout and wiring costs high affecting the overall appearance and so many problems. This design of an intelligent lighting control system based on ZigBee technology. Using ZigBee CC2530 of the TI Company, the system researches and designs a sending module and a receiving module of intelligent wireless lighting control system. The ZigBee terminal node sends control signal to the coordinator node. The coordinator node CC2530 output of PWM wave signal according to the control instruction signal. the output of the PWM wave signal controlled the LED brightness through PT4115 chip LED driver circuit. Through tests,the results show that it can meet the demand of daily light regulation.

Abstract: In order to realize the detection of bridge cable defects, we conducted research on bridge cable climbing robot, developed a strong climbing ability and high mobility climbing snake-like robot, which is suitable for bridge cable automatic defect detection. It consists of modules with a single degree of freedom, the number of modules can flexible increased or decreased to realize manually reconstructed according to the cable’s feature. The Ultra Torque servo, lightweight aluminum mechanical components and high coefficient of friction skin in the module, enhance the robot’s climbing ability. The robot can effectively complete cable climbing and testing operations because of the modules which combined orthogonal connection with P-R connection. Design a master-slave distributed multi-level closed-loop motion control system, with battery-powered and torque limit been introduced, which enhance the robot's mobility and ability to adapt to the environment. Cable-imitate climbing experimental results prove that the robot has powerful mobility and climbing ability.

Abstract: Pronunciation conversion is the premise to realize the speech synthesis system, besides, the conversion accuracy is directly related to the quality of synthetic speech. By studying the characteristics of Tibetan words and Lhasa pronunciation, currently method of the pronunciation conversion for Tibetan dialect in Lhasa, combination the need of speech synthesis research, designed and realized the pronunciation conversion system that can be applied in the Lhasa dialect of Tibetan speech synthesis. In tests the system is up to 95.3 percent accurate, the results of conversion are basically able to meet the needs of the Tibetan speech synthesis system.

Abstract: Using the equipment, YL-236 single chip microcomputer (SCM) control device installation and debugging training platform, used in the SCM event of the National Vocational Students Skills Competition (NVSSC) as hardware carrier, this paper researched the application method of real-time operating system (RTOS) in the implementation of the SCM Skills Competition task, and apply the real-time multitasking operating system (RTMOS), RTX51, in the 8-bit 51 SCM. That allows switch of circulation tasks, supports the signal transmission, utilizes the interrupt function in parallel, and has very small demand for RAM. That makes whole SCM task to develop much easier and more convenient, and enhances the real-time performance and reliability of the SCM Skills Competition task at the same time.

Abstract: In LTE system, random access plays an important role in both uplink time adjustment and initial access of UE. This paper analyzes the theory of the related signal detection and the correlation calculation, and proposes a method to detect the received sequence in the receiver. And at last, it presents the implementation on DSP including the baseband signal processing module, Local frequency domain ZC sequence generation module and Correlation calculation module. In a word, it provides a solution for implement the PRACH receiver on hardware.

Abstract: The Physical Control Format Indicator Channel (PCFICH) is one among the downlink physical control channel and it carries the number of OFDM symbols used by the PDCCH channel, denoted as Control Format Indicator (CFI).These control channels play a key role in the correct decoding of the payload information. The CFI is the first information received by the User and so is important for the system performance. In this paper, Research on the PCFICH in eNodeB, a simple implementation approach is proposed in the TMS320C64xDSP, The program has been applied to the development of LTE-TDD wireless integrated test instrument. The running results verify that the program is feasible and effective.
