Abstract: By observing rock thin sections, starting from the analysis on rock samples, mercury injection curves, casting thin sections and scanning electron microscopy, a detailed study of under Jurassic Badaowan Formation of the North Lake Oilfield heterogeneity in terms of content is done for the prediction and evaluation of favorable reservoir.

Abstract: The data of three-dimension geological models are very large, this kind of three -dimension geological model can not be directly used for numerical simulation and must be scaled down. The reservoir parameters, especially permeability, are scaled down by the simple renormalization method. The interbeds and parts of strong heterogeneity are filled back. The simple renormalization method is good through evaluation , not only it reduces the number of grid points, but also retains reservoir heterogeneity.

Abstract: Complex geological properties of oil reservoirs affect productivity of chemical flooding. Presence of bottom-water aquifer combined with heterogeneous reservoirs has been regarded as a problem which brings out reduction of recovery factor and high water-cut. A numerical reservoir simulator is used to investigate effects of aquifer on the performance of chemical flooding. By including the effects of bottom-water aquifer, productivity decreases significantly compared with that from non-aquifer case. Results from this study emphasize the importance of an accurate assessment of performance before implementing chemical flooding, especially in unfavorable condition such as bottom-water aquifer.

Abstract: Reservoir plane heterogeneity means the geometry, the scale, the continuity and the plan variation of physical properties of reservoirs, which is one of the main factors influencing the injection-production in oil reservoirs. Therefore, the study of the reservoir plane heterogeneity play a great role in guiding development wells deployment, gas reservoir well nets adjustment and residual oil & gas development. The reservoir heterogeneity of the sandstone size of gas and the border, and unbalanced formation pressure because of the degree of the development of each well is uneven prevent ChangBei gas field to develoment. They cause difficulty of evaluating the gas field comprehensive, level development wells deployment and well trajectory adjustment, and lead to certain geology risk. It is necessary to study the reservoir heterogeneity of the number 2 of shanxi Formation in this block for concerning the unfavourable extraction condition. The composite index of reservoir plane heterogeneity of the number 2 of shanxi Formation in ChangBei gas field have calculated by adopting entropy method considering influcing reservoir plane heterogeneity which is porosity, tight sandstone, mutation coefficient and variation coefficient of permeability, range of permeability and interlayer frequency. The distributive maps of reservoir's plane heterogeneity under the restriction of sedimentary facies have also been drawed. The entropy method can full use of the reduction and strengthen of entropy method, which means the characteristic of removing the similarities and depositing differences. The study indicate that reservoir plane heterogeneity of the number 2 of shanxi Formation in study area presents the medium to slightly strong characteristics in general.

Abstract: JYC polymer microsphere emulsion was synthesized by inverse emulsion polymerization. In order to explore the expansion mechanism of polymer microsphere, the variation of JYC sizes were detected. Through physical simulation experiments, the regulation of fraction flow and the result of displacement in heterogeneous physical simulation were measured. The results showed that the size of JYC microspheres swelled and increased in water at the reservoir temperature. After 60 days maintenance , the microspheres emulsion had the best dispersion and the property of expansion was prone to stability. Moreover, The appropriate injection concentration of JYC microspheres was 3000mg/L. JYC microsphere emulsion could improve the displacement efficiency of high permeability layer effectively, and expand the swept volume of low permeability layer, and enhance the ultimate recovery in different permeability ratio reservoir models.
