Abstract: A solar district heating and water heating integrated system has been designed and installed in a 5000m2 residential quarter. The integrated system uses vacuum glass tube solar collector to collect solar radiation energy, and uses water as heat medium. Solar energy provides almost 50% of the total heating energy consumption in winter. The inadequate part of energy can be provided by a steam heater which steam is provided by exhaust steam of the turbine from a power station nearby. The integrated system is operating automatically according to the solar radiation and working condition. Low-temperature floor radiation system is used as indoor heat radiator. At the same time, the system can provide 24h hot water supply. The integrated system has operated for 3 years, saves a large amount of energy, and receives good profit in both economical and environment.

Abstract: Currently, more and more residential district have built the underground parking and created more water and green space use the ground. The environment has been improved. This paper analyzed the microclimate of two planning programs use the microclimate fluid dynamics simulation software Envi-met, that one is have been made the underground parking planning, the other one is haven't. The results include microclimate parameters air quality parameters (the distribution of CO2) and the outdoor thermal comfort parameters (mean radiant temperature). By comparing the results of the two programs, this paper quantitative analyzed the influence and benefits of the underground parking to the microclimate in residential quarter.

Abstract: Studying on the trip generation of residential quarter is the basis of traffic forecasting, traffic design and people-oriented traffic environment. Taking the typical motorization city - Suzhou as an example, this paper analyzes the trip generation of persons and vehicles by collection large number of survey data. It also focuses on discovering some relations between peak hour trips and floor area, with the purpose of providing some illuminating ideas in the sustainable development of the residential quarters in China.

Abstract: Computer aided design is an effective means of wind environment assessment and prediction under complex layout, In this paper, the relationships of contact and containment among wind environment was studied by coupled simulation and analysis of wind environment around residential quarter in hot summer and cold winter area, and analyzed how to fix the layout of indoor and outdoor by simulation software during the operation, and make them reach the requirement of Evaluation standard for green building, at the same time make the ecological effects of the buildings complex to maximize.

Abstract: China's construction sector with foreign research results, the promotion of pro-urban settlements, and launched a multi neighborhood exploration. A lot of researches studied how to increase the neighbors’ intercourses in town residential quarters. For a long time, some representative theories were regarded as the criterions directing or evaluating the design of public space for residents’ intercourses in domestic urban residential quarters. Post occupancy evaluation was a significant part of the perfect design process. In this paper, surrounding the town neighbors’ intercourses, a lot of serious and systemic investigations were done in Kunming, and in addition some evaluations and self questionings were done on these theories.

Abstract: In order to guide the planning of urban microclimate, the influencing variables of the heat island intensity (UII) of tall residential quarter in mountain city in spring and summer is quantitatively analyzed. Through experiments and simulations, 6 variables including wind speed(WS), green ratio(GR), impervious ratio(IR), average surface temperature(AST) , shadow ratio(SR), H / W were chosen and summarized as factors by dimension reduction in factors analysis; further, the dominant variables and factors in different time were confirmed through multiple linear regression analysis of the factors/ variables and UII. Results revealed that in the microclimate tests, it is appropriate to make factor analysis when the cumulative contribution rate of a factor is higher than 50%, and the significant correlated factor of UII is horizontal surface factor (HSF) in three fifths of the testing time in July. The variable analysis revealed that the significance of WS on UII is more in cloudy days than that in sunny days; the significance of SR is higher in summer than that in transition seasons and is most in 15:00, it demonstrates that optimal utilization of the building shadings is an effective way to improve the outdoor thermal environment in residential quarters.
