Abstract: Understanding the population dynamics of mosquitoes is fundamental to the study of the epidemiology of mosquito-borne diseases for the purpose of optimal control and prevention. In this paper, we presented a brief survey for former models for mosquito population and claimed that the effect of limited resource and temperature are important for the population dynamics of mosquito which should be considered in mosquito models.

Abstract: Considering the operability of the environmental management type zoning in the paper industry, the evaluation index system of resources and environment carrying capacity is divided into two sub-index systems of the raw materials bases and paper industry. The weight of each index is evaluated by the AHP method, the index is calculated by the grey cluster assessment. The environmental management districts in both of the raw material forest base and paper industry were typified by using the GIS analysis method, respectively. Ultimately the national paper industry resources and environment management type partition is integrated from the two kinds of partition by using a two-dimensional matrix method.

Abstract: Mentougou district locates near to Beijing. Factors of the formation and development of the ancient village in this region linked closely with the Imperial Capital. In modern times, without the influence of the large industry, these ancient village remain the original style completely and provide the rich resources for the travel today. Articles have a research on the causes of the villages , analysis the status of the tourism by SWOT Analytical Method. It propose that strengthen cooperation between the ancient villages by effective integration of the region's natural and cultural heritage, develop the village and the tourism resources around the village as a whole, and establish ancient village in western Beijing brand tourism. With the investigation of the village, the author proposes suggestions and zoning plan to the cultural tourism of the village in western Beijing

Abstract: This paper obtained the surface reflectance image by using FLAASH atmospheric correction model to conduct atmospheric correction to the HSI image. After the reflectance image was processed with multi mathematical manipulations, the analytical method of geographic information system (GIS) was applied to carry out the partial least squares regression (PLSR) analysis with the measured value of soil salinity, thus quantitatively inverting the soil salinity in Songliao Plain. The research result indicated that the reflectance of HSI hyperspectral imaging can increase the related coefficient R2 of salt content in saline alkali soil significantly after being processed with reciprocal (1/R) and first-order differentiation (R), reaching 0.818 and 0.851 respectively with a root mean square error (RMSE) of 0.77 and 0.694 respectively, quantitatively and quickly gaining the soil salinity in Songliao Plain as well as salinization prevention.

Abstract: Shale gas revolution has hit energy field in recent years. According to the data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) at April 2012, China has 14 basins that contain thick, organic-rich shale with excellent potential for shale gas development. The risked in-place shale gas resource reaches up to 144 trillion cubic meters. The technically recoverable shale gas resource is more than 36 trillion cubic meters. In this paper, we contrast the characteristics of Chinas shale gas with that of North America, and introduce the present exploration situation.

Abstract: “Alpalhão granite”, also called SPI, is used as a high quality ornamental stone for interior and exterior applications. It is fine grained and equigranular, and has disseminated feldspar phenocrysts showing a homogeneous bluish grey colour. The SPI was mapped and scanlines (14) and drill cores (4) were carried out for lithofacies and joints characterization, besides petrographical study. Three of the 5 granite outcrops were studied regarding their potential for ornamental blocks exploitation (Carvalhal, Pinheiral and Ribeira de Sor). The Carvalhal area has generally no potential, due to intense fracturing and frequent heterogeneities except for drill core SCA1 area. The Pinheiral area has been exploited in all its extent, but still assures 368,800m3 estimated resources of good granite at depth. Ribeira de Sor area presents a good potentiality for commercial blocks in the eastern zone and a limited potential in the western area due to subsurface fracturing and chromatic changes.

Abstract: We are able to recognize an interesting characteristic of resource utilization by means of time definition and analysis of human utilization of resources. The characteristic is that the utilization of resources have the characteristics of time and space warp from both the view points of depth space resource of the time concept of time-point, the time concept of time-point circulation and circulation of point-to-point in one hand, and also breadth space resource of the short-term periodic time cycle, medium-time periodic time cycle and long-time periodic cycle in the other.
