Abstract: Quality and productivity have been used as terms to control process parameters and lower process defects. Several defects emerge when products are manufactured using the compression moulding process.Since the second-largest industrial process used to produce plastic goods and also the most popular method of producing thermoset and thermoplastic polymer composites is compression moulding.By this method control of temperature and pressure gives the desired shape of product. This method can be applied to both thermoset and thermoplastic materials. Due to the low flow index of thermoset plastics, considerable pressure is needed, which can only be achieved by the compression moulding method. The components, functionality, equipment, and tooling behaviour of the compression moulding process are covered in this study of paper. The advantages, drawbacks, and equipment used, as well as the material processing parameters, part design, tooling, and cost of compression moulding process parts are also discussed. In this work, many process variables—including moulding temperature, pressure, preheat time, and material weight are taken into account for the response research of the mechanical properties and internal defects created by the compression moulding process.

Abstract: Strong earthquake affects buildings to response in huge dynamic oscillating motion. In a teaching hospital that full of patients, medical personnel and medical treatment facilities as well as many modern advanced equipment may be in very dangerous situation due to this building response. To reduce the human victims, equipments and infrastructure damages, a kind of base isolation is added to the foundation of the hospital building. Inspite of oscillation motion as a vertical cantilever, this foundation base isolation of the hospital building is applied and designed to give the response of the earthquake vibration waves in lateral motion. To find out the optimum properties of the base isolation, some calculations of the response from vibration parameters are observed. The Keq value is 415,120,000 N/m and the total massive Mass of the hospital is 148,057,364 kg as well as the highest vibration force is 108,136,030.2 N. This study work deals with simplified modelling using FEA in ANSYS software. The aim is to see the simulation based on the calculation of the analysis and whether the response is as expected.

Abstract: Prefabricated structures have brought quite a new quality into the design of building construction method, which in turn required deeper theoretical knowledge, replacing empirical approaches by theory, replacing idealized and often simplified models of structure behaviour by accurate material physical models and load models. High rigidity of prefabricated concrete structures and the resulting stress states, which are mainly due to the volume change effects (temperature, humidity), effects of the foundation base shape variations etc., are among the most frequent causes of failures, particularly of joints of building elements featuring insufficient yield and bearing capacity. Investigation of all prefabricated building types shows progressing joint armature corrosion, considerable impairment of welds, which should secure the positional reliability of façade slabs. The paper presents some results of our experimental study of the application potential of the impact-echo method to the non-destructive assessment of the present joint condition in prefabricated structures.

Abstract: A hazard and operability study (HAZOP) is a structured and systematic examination of a planned or existing process or operation in order to find and evaluate problems that may represent risks to personnel or equipment, or prevent efficient operation. The qualitative HAZOP uses keywords for generating deviations from safe condition and ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place to prevent accidents. WHIPP or Walkdown Hazard Identification for Plant and Process is a hazard identification technique which can be applied to chemical plants, but with modification can be tailored for many industry types. The method adopts a checklist approach to hazard identification which enables auditors and plant operators to carry out plant walkdowns easily and effectively. But there is a high difference between a qualitative hazard identification method and audit type method since HAZOP is mainly used in a process industry and an audit is mainly used for inspecting the safety management of the industry thus in the WHIPP they used guidewords same as HAZOP uses keywords to identify the hazards and risks associated with the hazards while they perform the walk down in the company and are assessed with a checklist. This paper is the comparison of the two methods to see which is more efficient and which is more reliable in the process industries as well as normal industries.

Abstract: s:Aiming at circumferential arc spring dual mass flywheel (CSDMF), this paper carries out analysis on the piecewise linear model and calculates the frequency response of damped model under sinusoidal excitation. Being combined with the calculate results, the research respectively analyzes the value of inertia ratio, torsional stiffness and damping parameters. The analysis results show that the greater the damping, inertia ratio of primary and secondary flywheels are, the torsional stiffness, the more obvious vibration damping of the dual mass flywheel would be. To meet the vibration damping requirements, the detail design of the three parameters need to be combined with power train and the torsion characteristic of CSDMF.

Abstract: The choice of input ground motion in the evaluation of the seismic response is a complicated task. The ground motion parameters need to be determined by the scope of the analysis and the potential damage of new or existing buildings. This work presents nonlinear dynamic analyses on reinforced concrete frame widely present in China. Input ground motions contain uncertainty and variability comes from both natural recordings and modified ones. Magnitude scaling and spectrum matching are used in this study. Nonlinear dynamic analyses of reinforced concrete buildings simulated by SeismoStruct and OpenSEES are carried out to evaluate the seismic response. Findings from the investigation indicate that spectrum matching is generally stable and shows good performance in response prediction.

Abstract: Based on analysis for characteristic of the motion configuration, the control strategy and control law used on the motion control system are presented. The controller in velocity tracking loop and location loop are respectively designed by frequency correcting method and normal control method which belongs to classical control theory. The problem of location control loop low velocity creeping is solved. A simulating experimentation demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract: The paper determines the parameters of the explosion wave excited by a terrorist charge and assumption of the building structure of a railway station based on dynamic analysis. Certain simplified methods according to various publications, according to our own experimental results and according to 3D computations based on detailed calculation modelling of the interior of the room are compared to determine the explosive effects. Equivalent static analysis was applied to the dynamic response of the structural elements of the selected room. The damage caused to these structural elements is weighted on the basis of the angle of failure of the central axis / surface, and on the basis of the limit stress state of these structures.

Abstract: The paper presents a generic design study for a 2500 square meter, 4-storey embassy building. It is designed to resist blast loads from an assumed Design Basis Threat (DBT) that is provided by the owner. The building structure consists of reinforced concrete columns, beams and slabs supported on pile foundations. The exterior walls are concrete block with stone veneer. The windows are double glazed with aluminum frames. The building is situated within a compound with a perimeter wall. There is no basement.
