Abstract: Textile recycling can save resource and energy, as well as make huge economic benefits. Under the background of recycling economy, it is imperative to build textile recycling and reuse system in China, as there are many problems in Chinese textile waste recycling market. This paper introduces the background of textile waste recycling and explores the detail of advanced textile recycling mode in Germany as a case study, through which the author points out that we can learn from the German mode and choose Yangtze River Delta as a pilot area to establish the textile waste recycling system.

Abstract: Nowadays, being confronted with the decreasingly nature resource and environment polluted, effectively mining the potential economic benefits of retired or scrap equipment, studying on planning retired or scrap equipment recycling system, is a very important matter. This paper puts forward an ideology of the recycling of retired or scrap weaponry and equipment based on 3R, by introducing 3R principle which is the core ideology of circular economy. This paper presents a retired or scrap equipment recycling system planning thought, analyzes the system framework which consists of recycling targets, recycling objects, functional elements and participating subject. The preliminary structural Model is established, as well as the concrete operation processes are studied.

Abstract: The ceramics industry has been conducting numerous research studies with the objective of reducing and reusing waste to improve the quality and efficiency of the porcelain polishing process. Large amounts of residue are generated during the porcelain polishing process. Recycling this residue during the process itself reduces production costs. In this work, the residue of porcelain was characterised by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), linear retraction, water absorption, apparent density, apparent porosity and optical microscopy. Mixtures with different proportions of waste were obtained to evaluate at what proportion no loss of visual quality and structural material could be attained. Little structural or visual change was observed for samples that contained up to 2.0% porcelain residue by weight.

Abstract: The objective of this work is to analyze ashes from a thermal power plant with the aim of determining its environmental aptitude for reutilization as aggregates in clay mixtures for ceramics production. To achieve this objective the waste material was characterized by different techniques: optical microscopy, scanning electronic microscopy, conductivity, pH, among others. Clay samples with bottom ash addition, up to 50%, were prepared. These samples were thermally treated at 950oC and then characterized with diverse techniques in order to determine their behaviour in service. The obtained results show the high feasibility of reutilization of the studied waste as raw material in the production of ceramic products.

Abstract: The waste generated in the process of polishing of ceramic materials represents a challenge for the ceramic industries, because it is necessary conciliate environmental protection to expenses with disposal and proper packaging. The study of the reuse of this material in the production cycle becomes a necessary alternative to solve the industrial problem. The replacement of the abrasive agent is a viable option in order to avoid the presence of silicon carbide and the residue therefore enabling the direct incorporation of the residue in the porcelain production. If the atomized paste contains silicon carbide when the material is burned occurred the formation of porosity and cracks in the piece. This work aims to study new alternatives of abrasive agents and evaluate the efficiency of polishing generated by new tools. To evaluate the performance of the abrasive tests were conducted simulating the polishing step. The study is based on the computational processing of the image generated by optical micrographs. From this, it will be possible find the best abrasives for polishing ceramic material.

Abstract: In urban drainage filtration systems pass stormwater through a filter media, with the beneficial effects of reducing peak runoff rates and volumes, and retaining pollutants prior to discharge to groundwater or receiving surface waters. The use of filtration systems is advantageous in urban areas limited by space constraints, since such measures do not require high surface area availability. Recent literature has demonstrated that olive stones, which are by-products of olive-oil industry, may be re-used as filtration media for removing targeted stormwater pollutant such as heavy metals, organic matter and hydrocarbons. Although large research literature has investigated the chemical composition of olives and olive stones, only few studies have analyzed the hydraulic behavior of the olive stone. The aim of this article is to show the potential use of the olive stone as filtration system for stormwater, by investigating the hydraulic behavior of such filter media. In this study the hydraulic discharging rate of olive stones is explored for varying widths. This set of results will represent a valuable guideline for engineers in the design of olive stone filtration systems.

Abstract: The modeling of complex 3D details is a time-consuming task and need enough experience. In this paper, an effectual algorithm is proposed to transfer and reuse 3D geometrical details with cubic B-spline wavelet. Firstly any kind of surfaces both from the source model and the destination one are represented with cubic B-spline wavelet, and then they are decomposed into a base shape and several hierarchies of details. Since both models share the same basis of wavelet, they can be combined into one model in different hierarchies. Hereby the details are transferred onto the new 3D models. Later experiment shows that this technology can obtain desired resultant models.

Abstract: This paper analyses the suitable seasonal reduction coefficient and rainwater runoff initial abandon coefficient in Zhangjiakou city, which is selected as a study area and is in upstream of Yongding River. And it analyses the achieve volume of rainwater-resources utilization. Through the analysis on the regional precipitation in study area, it obtained the suitable calculation formulas for the rainwater-storage-pool volume per year in rainwater collecting-reusing system of this area .

Abstract: Municipal solid waste is a big problem in China. Separating and collecting recyclables from municipal solid wastes is a key approach for resolving waste problems and promoting circular economy. The current collection and recycling of recyclables from municipal solid waste is reviewed for better perspective. The material and value stream are summarized for understanding the potential direction of waste and recyclables. The stakeholder for recyclables collection and recycling is identified and their roles are analyzed. Situation of recycling enterprises is introduced. Finally, some comments for promoting recycling industry development are made for reference.
