Abstract: A synthetic fault diagnosis expert system for turbine generator sets based on rule based reasoning and cases based reasoning is built in this paper. The structure of synthetic fault diagnosis expert system is discussed. The rule base and case base for the fault diagnosis of expert system is established based on the domain expert knowledge and relevant fault cases of turbine generator sets. Both the inference flow and case retrieval strategy of diagnosis system are discussed in detail. Finally the expert system is verified by a given application example.

Abstract: According to the highly dependent on breeding characteristics of the aquatic products, this paper builds an intelligent aerobic expert system which combines two kinds of artificial intelligence technique, case based reasoning (CBR) and rule based reasoning (RBR). After retrocede the collection data, firstly, the case base is retrieved to find the similar solutions. Only when the solution cases can not be obtained from the case base or the case solutions are not satisfactory, is the RBR system used to solve problem and then the reasoning result is stored in the case base for future use. The intelligent aerobic expert system can real-time monitor water oxygen, and startup or shutdown the aerator, monitor the large factory farmed.

Abstract: Boiler is one of the key industrial equipment in the field of modern manufacture. Rule-base reasoning (RBR) and case-base reasoning (CBR) are first applied to the boiler conceptual design. The RBR is adopted to perform like a “sieve” for the acquisition of the candidate structure modules. Then the CBR process is adopted for the structure module modification and case retain. The case retain process gives the system self-enrich function which will improve the design ability of the system with the continuous use of the system.

Abstract: According to the process characteristics of shell ring, the cutting parameters have been optimized by adopting appropriate boundary conditions at different machining stages and the optimal cutting parameters have been achieved. The objective function and constraints boundary have been stored into the database, which form basic data structures of database. Cutting parameters have been obtained for new type tools using rule-based reasoning approach. According to the characteristics of large number of changing tool for shell ring, tool life prediction is designed, which is very favorable for large shell ring processing. In addition, on-site processing recorded video will be added to the database by multi-media technology, which achieves the diversity of data structure.

Abstract: This paper describes the structure, content and relations employed in the development of an intelligent grinding database. The intelligent database has been constructed in MS Access with Visual Basic support code. The database was developed as an integral feature of an intelligent grinding assistant (IGA  ). The IGA  has been implemented and evaluated on a cooperating partners CNC machine tool.
