Abstract: The basic material used for advancement in concrete is often composed of essential limiting materials such as concrete, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, and water. Solid waste management is one of the most important tactics in today's total collection situation. As expected, an effort was made to decrease usual resources and conserve the environment. To increase the strength of concrete, Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3) is added in the amounts of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 35%, 40%, and 45% by weight of cement. The study entails investigating the effect of adding sodium silicate in various quantities on setting time, workability, and compressive strength. When sodium silicate is added to concrete, there is a significant increase in workability and durability, according to the literature. Setting time and compressive strength were studied, and it was shown that using sodium silicate as a substitute for cement improves workability and durability. When Sodium Silicate is added to concrete buildings, the content of calcium hydroxide drops while the content of calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H gel) increases as compared to untreated concrete structures. Because the expansive and insoluble C-S-H gels partially fill the micro-pores, micro-voids, and micro fractures in the concrete structures, the sodium silicate-based concrete sealers are basically surface hydrophilic agents. Because of the production of C-S-H gel, the amount of water in the mix is reduced as compared to a traditional one, as is the initial setting time. Sodium Silicate is transformed into a binding agent as well as a superplasticizer after the reaction.

Abstract: Inventory theory and supply chain management have become important to small businesses in order to improve an organization’s competitive strength and survival. The rapid growth of small businesses of late has seen them to face a challenge in managing their inventory effectively and efficiently. A study was carried out in F.E. (Private) limited a pioneer in distribution of electrical equipments based in Chennai, whose two major challenges were, stock-out and excess stock due to uncertainty in demand. The organization wanted to develop its performance and overall efficiency by considering a change in the inventory policy. The main aim of this research is to attain operational excellence through inventory management and measure its effectiveness using critical key performance indicators. A new inventory policy was developed to improve the inventory turns and measure its performance after implementing the new inventory policy. The results revealed that the implementation of new inventory policy helped to save over Rs. 2.25 lakhs per month in terms of total inventory carrying cost to the selected organization.

Abstract: The small scale sector is a symptom of India’s socio-economic development model and has met with the country’s long term expectations in terms of contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), industrial base, employment and exports. This sector forms a major part of Indian industrial base. Small and Medium scale industries contribute about 10% of total GDP. The Small and Medium Scale Industries (SMSI) are supported by the government and financial institutions like Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC), State Bank of India (SBI) etc., in terms of technical and financial assistance. Even then Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) are lagging in infrastructure, skilled labour. In order to analyse the various risk factors in SMSI, the survey was conducted in 20 small and medium scale industries who are supplying their product to many Tier 1 companies and leading automobile companies of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in India. This paper brings out most critical supply chain risk factors exist in every business processes inside and outside the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is used to prioritize supply chain risk factors and also the SMSI owners and managers are advised to focus from the highest ranking critical factors to improve their technical and financial performance.

Abstract: At present, the efficiency of livestock manure and crop residues is low in our country compared with international level. A massive array of automatic methane pond system is presented with controlled temperature and pressure. A single chip Micyoco( SCM) is the control unit. The motor is connected to the SCM; the transmission mechanism connected with the motor, the transmission chain is surrounded by a ring-shaped motor drive; loading of raw materials like iron grid mesh cage, rotates with the transmission chain.

Abstract: High voltage tower climbing robot is mainly used to climb all kinds of tower structure, control system mainly has two aspects, one is the chip microcomputer detecting control system using PIC16F877A as the controller; the other is the total control system used to coordinate various parts of sub function module using the PLC controller as the core. This module control method can improve the efficiency of the whole control system. In addition, the PID algorithm of SIEMENS S7-200PLC is used in catching control, which makes control system more stable and efficient.

Abstract: Eight channel wireless intelligent responder has been designed based on 51 SCM, and the button switch and the microcontroller I/O are used as the input and output, the digital tube and the I/O are used as display function. The software is programmed with C language, which is simple and easy to understand and very intuitive, at the same time, the whole design is simple and practical. After testing, the system can realize the eight channel responder function and can be conveniently applied to the game.
