Abstract: This article studies the embedded SPC and its application in roundness measuring system by analyzing the current roundness measurement principle and technology. With analyzing the process of data collection, date treatment and various kinds of tool graphic construction, we study the feasibility of integrating SPC into roundness measurement and finally apply the embedded SPC as pure software into roundness measuring system. We design the roundness measuring system based on embedded SPC and develop the roundness measuring system of low power consumption, high accuracy and easy application, which is suitable for industry field usage.

Abstract: In this paper, the embedded quality control system of product manufacturing process is established to provide sophisticated aids between the modern production and SPC quality management methods. Abstract: Special reason and common reason bring on the process disturbance. Statistical process control (SPC) is commonly used to monitor the process disturbance which arises from assignable reason. Engineering process control (EPC) compensates the deviation of output for common reason based on the feedback adjustment principle. Therefore, integrated SPC/EPC approach has better performance than that merely using SPC or EPC. However, in practice, it is very hard to search the appropriate method to apply for integration of SPC/EPC. The main reason is that EPC’s compensation has depressed probability which assignable reason is monitored by control chart. In this paper, a joint-monitoring method is designed to account for the above problems through detecting process output as well as monitoring process input. An example is given to prove that joint-monitoring can detect the process disturbance more quickly and more accurately.

Abstract: Considering the practical problems in the threshing and redrying production, in order to improve the manufacturing process quality, by using twice hot-air tobacco embellishing as the critical process in production flow and applying SPC technology, through the online data collection, this paper analyzed the causes of quality defects in the course of production and made adjustments. The conclusion is that SPC technology ensures the quality stability of the tobacco processing progress, and also strongly improves the process capability, which achieves the 3σ Control of product quality.

Abstract: Quality control and improvement at the process level is a vital activity for the achievement of defect-free products in various manufacturing processes. This study employs statistical process control (SPC) tools such as control charts and process capability ratio for quality control and improvement. The control charts employed are , R and the cumulative-sum (CUSUM). The process capability ratio used is the so called process capability index (PCI). These tools have been implemented with the aid of Minitab® statistical software. In this study, the manufacturing process of gelatin capsules is investigated in terms of quality of the capsules, which are produced and shipped for use by various drug companies. As a result of implementation of SPC tools, an expected reduction in the number of defective capsules by 29% relative to the stage before implementation was achieved.

Abstract: The Time Series method and Statistical Process Control strategy is applied to predict failures of wind turbine gearboxes. First, based on the real-time temperature data of gearboxes measured by temperature sensors, the temperature prediction model under normal operating conditions is established by ARIMA model. The analysis of the predicted values and the actual values of gearbox temperature is done, and proves that its residuals are normally distributed; then combined with statistical process control (SPC) methods, the big number of temperature data is used to calculate the standard deviation(σ) of residuals, and the gearbox failure threshold will be identified; Finally, the temperature data are analyzed both in normal operating condition and the failure condition to determine the operation status of the gearbox, statistical analysis and residual charts are carried out for gearbox failure prediction, verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract: Software quality measurement is closely connected with process and product. With measurement and analysis on software process data, improvement and control on software can be achieved. Effective process performance model plays key role in understanding and controlling. Introduction of GQM model into software measurement process can achieve controllability and testability of software process. GQM uses organization target as measurement index to achieve measurement of software process quantitative. The core idea of CMM/CMMI is to build fact-based management and CMM/CMMI software process management is built on the basis of software measurement. Combining with CMM/CMMI measurement idea, GQM model was expanded to achieve a kind of improved process performance model.

Abstract: Small particle size powder of Fe and Ni was used as raw materials (the particle diameter of metal injection molding (MIM) was 0.5-20μm generally) [1], and the wax-based polymer was used as binder, a new type of Fe-Ni alloy for semiconductor was prepared by the MIM. The processes which include injection debinding and sintering were studied as well as the properties. Metallographic analysis and XRD analysis showed that the alloy was a single stable organization of austenite (γ phase) whose expansion coefficient was low, and the microstructure was uniform and dense. The parts formed by MIM have high forming quality and forming precision as well as lower processing and manufacturing cost.So the MIM opened up a new way for processing small complex parts.

Abstract: This paper states not only the development course of quality management but also the actuality that the packaging & printing enterprise confronts. In addition, it explains the necessity of applying SPC. The first, it is discussed and studied the basic tool of SPC-control chart for statistical process. Based on this way, -R control chart is used to analyze and control the overprint precision. According to these control charts, the spot staffs can find the deficiencies in the quality control itself by finding the correlative process fluctuation and the slow variation in time. In addition, SPC provides objective bases for the quality management personnels to assess semi-products or products quality.
