Abstract: The industry of oil and gas will be always constantly adapting to changes over time, whether in terms of technology, market demands or price thus increase the operational risk and danger in the operation. The purpose of this research is to study on the current practices of safety management implemented in the upstream part in the industry and its effectiveness, altogether to emphasize on the importance of safety management system in the industry. This research focus on the implemented safety management in upstream sector of oil and gas industry especially in PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd in Malaysia and evaluate and investigate its effectiveness. Questionnaire survey is conducted regarding safety and the data and results gained from the survey are analysed using the Relative Importance Index (RII) and also by using Average Index (AI). The research put safety management as the main factor in preventing and reducing accidents and incidents to occur in industries of the oil and gas and emphasize on awareness and importance of managing safety in oil and gas industry.

Abstract: While safety in the construction industry has been acknowledged as an important issue, there has yet to be a decrease in the number of disasters. For this reason, to manage and control construction disasters, a study should be conducted on the distribution and use of money allocated to safety management at construction sites. Thus, through an analysis of the current state of safety management cost, a distribution plan was sought, by accident type. In this study, the current state of accidents and safety management cost of four construction sites were analyzed. In the findings of this study, it was found that crash accidents, which have been reported as the accident type most frequently occurring, can be cut by increasing the safety facility cost for the prevention of crashes by more than 50 percent

Abstract: This paper proposes safety management evaluation system of metro station project based on factors which the construction techniques and process of drilling-blasting metro station involved.Then the paper uses the OWA operator to determine the weights of the index and adopts gray theory to evaluate safety of drilling-blasting metro station construction based on measure of metro station project safety management.Finally,the paper puts forward recommendations of safety management according to the evaluation results.

Abstract: According to the situation of high frequent accidents and supervision difficulties in highway construction project. The fuzzy evaluation model for the affecting factors of highway construction accidents was established. Through safety analysis on many accidents, it was considered that highway construction accidents were commonly affected by workers’ unsafe behavior, unsafe condition, environmental risk and management. Then the weight of relative factors were determined. Finally the highway construction safety management evaluation was built. It shows that this method is reasonable and handled, which provides a good thought for the scientific, quantitative and available evaluation of highway construction safety management.

Abstract: Currently, accelerating the construction of quality have already been the vital issue in China. Facing the environment limitation and strong market competition, the coal mine industry should try to improve the quality, efficiency and level by enhancing the process management. Coal mine industry is a high-risk industry, the specification of coal enterprises safety management process is vital. This paper took a coal enterprise as example, and combined the characteristics of its operating to analyze and optimize the safety management process. This paper is expected to prove a guidance and assistance on improving the safety management for China coal mine enterprises.

Abstract: The driving intentions are identified, based on gear, pedal signals and vehicle status. Driving process is divided into starting mode, driving mode, reversing mode and so on. Safety management module is set, in order to control the process of power on and off, and detect the main fault related to vehicle control unit.

Abstract: There are many methods of municipal solid waste disposal, among them, one of the most convenient methods is landfill. However, leachate and landfill gas produced in the process of landfill cause secondary pollution and endanger human health. As landfill site working, there are some problems, such as fire and explosion, collapse of garbage body and other safety hidden trouble. In order to solve the safety problems during the process of landfill, the manuscript analyzed the reasons of the safety accidents from people’s unsafe behavior, unsafe status of machinery, material or environment, defect in safety management, also proposed the management strategies from landfill design and management .

Abstract: This paper analyzed current network security of the small and medium-sized enterprise, and discusses the existing problem in small and medium-sized enterprises and the existing technology, and network security and management. Finally the paper points out the network security and proposed network security model with four layers (application layer, system layer, network layer, physical layer) network defense in depth security solutions and network security deployment plan based on the MPDRR (safety management, safety protection, safety inspection, safety, security response recovery).

Abstract: For the current safety management of enterprise, this paper describes the modern safety management based on the network environment. The system of major hazard installation (MHI) and its surrounding three-dimensional (3D) geographic information simulation is developed by using virtual reality (VR) technology to establish a digital virtual environment (VE) of petrochemical enterprise. Safety information simulation of petrochemical enterprise, which can be browsed through Web page and managed by human-computer interaction (HCI), is achieved by the seamless integration with the network. The safety management system (SMS) which is characterized by networking and digitization is eventually completed. It not only ensures the fluency of resource sharing but also the VR simulation provides the government and enterprises with a reasonable command platform to implement safety management efficiently.

Abstract: as the reform of construction industry and construction management system in our country is continuously deepening, the management methods and organization structure on production had been deeply changed for enterprises in construction industry, which has gradually established a "modern enterprise system" and vigorously promoting "construction of project methods" on the construction management in construction works. In this paper, by reviewing and discussing the latest research results on construction safety management in and abroad, the key research content and subject focused in current safety management were proposed. Two management technical methods on safety objective management applicable to local construction projects were designed and improved. One is contractual safety responsibility method; the other is overall safety quality management method. The application effects were tested, analyzed and improved by using quantitative safety comprehensive evaluation method to achieve a systemic and scientific safety management theory system that is complete and practical.
