Abstract: A high-temperature sealing adhesive was prepared using kyanite, andalusite, and magnesia fully stabilized zirconia (Mg-FSZ) as raw materials and nanozirconia (ZrO2) sol as binder. The adhesive is chemically near-neutral and suitable for bonding acid, neutral, or alkaline materials at 1560 °C. The mineral composition, volume expansion, and air permeability of multiple thermal cycles were analyzed. Results showed that the volume expansion caused by the mullitization of kyanite and andalusite can compensate for the sintering shrinkage high temperature. MgO could gradually desolvatize from the Mg-FSZ particles and react with SiO2 and Al2O3 to produce a stable forsterite and magnesium aluminate spinel. Hence, Mg-FSZ became unstable, and cubic ZrO2 transformed into monoclinic ZrO2 when cooled, leading to a volume expansion of the adhesive, which ensured the sealing effect. A larger critical particle size of Mg-FSZ can provide the adhesive with a more persistent volume expansion during thermal cycles due to the more durable desolvatization of MgO. The nanoZrO2 sol binder can improve the sintering of the adhesive and bonding of the joint, resulting in a low gas permeability.

Abstract: Based on the topography of micro WEDM surface, lubricant retention, bearing capability, and sealing performance were evaluated by using the surface bearing index, lubricant retention index of core area, and lubricant retention index of valley bottom respectively. The results show that the micro WEDM surface with the characteristic of isotropy texture is beneficial to store lubricating oil, and the lubricant retention property is superior to that of the traditional machining surface.

Abstract: Abstract:In this paper ,the finite element model of the lei-ring was established in ANSYS software, the sealing performance of hydraulic support column piston was analyzed. Also, the numerical simulation analysis was made of the impact of column working pressure on the sealing performance, and a series of the integrated equivalent stress and contact pressure images of sealing ring when working were got. From those images, the location most prone to failure can be concluded. All of work can provide a theoretical reference for the design and use of drum sealing ring used on hydraulic support upright column.

Abstract: Abstract: The packer rubber stress in the bottom hole is more complex. Based on constitutive model of the packer rubber material, this paper determines such parameters as model constants, Poisson's ratio of rubber materials and elastic modulus by using experimental method, to build up the finite element model of center tube-rubber cylinder-casing for the purpose of stress analysis. Finally, the distribution regularity of rubber cylinder-casing contact stress and packer setting travel distance with varying loads is concluded. The results can provide the theoretical basis for further analysis of packer rubber sealing performance.

Abstract: In the hydraulic and pneumatic equipments, the elastomeric O-ring gaskets are widely used to ensure their sealing. The sealing capability of an elastomeric O-ring gasket depends upon the contact stresses that develop between the O-ring and the surfaces with which it comes into contact. In order to increase the strength and service life of the general elastomeric O-ring gasket, this gasket including metal skeleton is gradually applied to the actual product in recent years. In spite of the sealing performance of the elastomeric O-ring gasket has been investigated in many literatures, few information of it is known about the elastomeric O-ring gasket including metal skeleton. If any gasket degrades or fails, the overall operation and performance of the production will be affected. This paper aims to study the contact stresses occurred on the metal skeleton seal structure under the various interference fits with three sectional forms (trapezoid cross section, square cross section and circular cross section). Finite element analysis is used to predict sealing performance of an installed metal skeleton seal, providing a normal force against the sealing surface. Results gained show that the contact stresses occurred on the metal skeleton seal is larger than it generated on the general elastomeric O-ring gasket. Furthermore, the metal skeleton seal possessed trapezoid cross section can produce the maximum contact stress, which will show the best sealing performance among three sectional forms.

Abstract: Dedicated TestBed (DTB) for detecting the sealing performance of Metal Rubber (MR) was designed and manufactured based on Siemens S7-200 PLC. The experiments, such as high temperature and large temperature difference experiment, could be conducted with real-time monitoring by DTB. The general design including mechanical and control part of DTB is introduced in detail.

Abstract: In order to improve the performance of the spiral groove dry gas seal (S-DGS), the spiral groove dry gas seal with an inner annular groove (AS-DGS) was invented. Based on the narrow groove theory, the sealing performance parameters of the AS-DGS were gained by using approximate analytical method to solve the gas film pressure control equations, and the results were compared with those of the common S-DGS. The results show that, in the given operating conditions, the opening force of AS-DGS is smaller than that of the S-DGS with the difference less than 0.5%, and the film stiffness is larger than that of the common S-DGS with the difference less than 5% in the case of low-speed or high-pressure operation, but the leakage is a little larger.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the deformation and stress of the glass substrate and the supporting columns in the vacuum plate glass in high-temperature sealing process with Ansys, which can forecast and guidance for the vacuum flat glass of high-temperature sealing. By performance test of vacuum plate glass after sealing, conclude the organizational structure of glass and welding agent junction is well. The vacuum plate glass of high temperature sealing has a good sealing performance.

Abstract: The flow field characteristics of lubricant liquid film of the laser surface textured micro-pore face mechanical seal were studied by Fluent software, and the effects of geometric parameters of micro pores and operating parameters on the sealing performance were analyzed. The results show that the hydrodynamic effect of the laser surface textured micro-pore face mechanical seal is very obvious, and micro-pores make the friction state between rotating ring and stationary ring change to fluid friction. It can also be found that the rotating speed, the medium pressure, the area density and the liquid film thickness have effect on the sealing performance, among these influence factors, the area density has the greatest effect on the sealing performance, and it should be 0.2-0.3.

Abstract: To develop a kind of ideal sealing material, uniform experiments were conducted in a simulation test device after the determination of material composition and approximate ratio range. The experimental data was fitted by stepwise regression analysis and optimal mixture ratio was obtained. The reliability is perfect when the ratio of foaming agent FP, foam stabilizer WP, solid filler RX and solid filler GX is 1.5:2:3:3. Field application tests show that sealing material in the above ratio has advantages of less time waste, higher reliability and better adaptability. It has a wide application prospect for fractured borehole sealing.
