Abstract: Lagoons have a great importance for society, and activities such as fishing or tourism are essential for these areas, for this reason it is important to have a monitoring system in terms of water quality. The central axis of this project was the design and implementation of a sensor network based on the Internet of Things, collecting data using an ESP32 and the Thingspeak platform for data visualization and storage. Data is analyzed using MATLAB, allowing to obtain an estimation of the water quality index of Laguna Jucutuma indicating an average rating of 40, as well as using Machine Learning techniques to obtain a models with an error margin below 3%.

Abstract: For the continuous and non-destructive structural health monitoring (SHM) of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP), a one-step integration of one-or two-dimensional strain sensors based on piezo-resistive carbon filament yarns (CFY) into textile reinforced structures of subsequent FRP components has been realized during textile-technological manufacturing processes. The two-dimensional alignment of the sensor layouts is realized by a special process-integrated warp yarn path manipulation (WPM). With suchlike manufactured semi-finished reinforcement structures, a functional model of a small wind turbine blade in glass-fiber thermoset composite design has been build up. Using the CFYs’ piezo-resistive effect, mechanical strains can be measured and visualized due to a correlative change of the carbon filaments resistance. Performing quasi-static load tests on the blade and additional test specimens, comprehensible results of the electro-mechanical behavior and spatially resolving capacity of different sensor integration lengths have been achieved. The performed tests demonstrate, that global and even local mechanical stresses within complex FRP components can be measured spatially resolved using the approach of textile technologically integrated textile sensors.

Abstract: For sparse overlay network built by static sensor nodes, this paper proposes the introduction of heterogeneous mobile sensor nodes, and designs a mobile coverage strategy to optimize the coverage performance of sensor network. At first, the monitoring area is divided into several sub-regions by iterative quartering and the sub-regions are represented by a quad-tree structure. Secondly, the mobile coverage strategy is planned based on the idea of divide and conquers and combing the overall regional strategy with local regional strategy. The overall regional mobile strategy is planned by go through all sub-regions according to breadth-first traversal of the quad-tree. The local regional mobile strategy in each sub-region is designed based on the distribution of static nodes after the sub-region meshing. The results show that the mobile coverage strategy can achieve good network coverage, and it is very suitable for multiple mobile nodes.

Abstract: Since the Security Infrastructure Construction Standard for Civil Aviation Transportation Airport (MH/T 7003-2008) revised by Civil Aviation Administration of China in 2008, more and more technologies have been applied in the airport security to meet the standard requirements. With the advent of internet of things era, the things interconnection and the coordination sensation of sensor network technology provide a new technical means for airport security. A perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) based on sensor network is proposed and designed for safeguarding airport flight area from illegal intrusion. The PIDS consists of a front-end detection sub-system, a control center sub-system, a network transmission sub-system, a power supply sub-system, an intelligent video sub-system , a video monitor sub-system, a combination meteorological sub-system and a lighting and sound alarm sub-system.It can accurately identify the type of intrusion, locate the intrusion target, and reduce false alarms caused by environmental interference. The PIDS based on sensor network has been successfully applied in the security of Shanghai Pudong International Airport flight area.

Abstract: In order to support characters of data acquisition system of smart grid, such as scalable and plug and play, one configurable node of sensor network was proposed. The number of protocol standard, the number of interface of each protocol standard, the number of senor of each interface and the number of byte of each sensor can be configured in this node. All these parameters can be configured according to the specific application of smart grid and then achieve the best balance between cost and performance. One real model was implemented by VHDL and the number of protocol standard, the number of interface of each protocol standard, the number of sensor of each interface, the number of byte of each sensor can be configured in the range from 1 to 8. The correctness and validity of this real model were confirmed by simulation results of configurable level and one application instance.

Abstract: For multilayer mobile sensor network, the issues of improving sensor network coverage by the use of mobile sensors are studied. A coverage-optimized deployment algorithm based on grid-division and bipartite graph matching is proposed. Firstly, the deployment area is divided into many grids and build distribution matrix of sensor nodes. Then construct a bipartite graph G based on the grid-division and solve a matching of maximum cardinality of G. It corresponds to an optimal deployment scheme which maximizes the network coverage and minimizes the total movement cost. Results show that after optimized deployment the network coverage increases, and with the increase in the percentage of mobile nodes it increases accordingly. In the way of distributed calculating the network also can achieve a higher coverage ratio and the movement cost is lower. It is very suitable for deployment of multilayer sensor network.

Abstract: With the rapid development of society especially the industry, water pollution has become more and more serious caused by all types of wastewater. In this paper, the design and implementation of a water quality monitoring system framework based on wireless sensor network for water quality monitoring has been achieved. And then, by merging and matching environmental data and spatial data, more intensive multi-source water quality parameters and information can be obtained to act as meaningful supplementation of fixed water quality monitoring stations. The research of this paper is conductive to the transition of water quality monitoring from static ways to dynamic ways and from data-based empirical model to sensor network-based quantitative model. The realization of water quality monitoring system framework based on wireless sensor network for water quality monitoring is helpful to make current water quality monitoring more timely, dynamic, integrated and intelligent, which represents the prosperous trend of water quality monitoring.

Abstract: A dynamic sensor deployment strategy for heterogeneous mobile wireless sensor networks is proposed, so-called virtual force-directed differential evolution algorithm (VFDE). To ensure efficient coverage of networks, VFDE combines the virtual force (VF) with differential evolution algorithm (DE), where the position vector of each population is updated according to not only the historical local and global optimal solutions but also the virtual forces of sensor nodes. The key motivation of this strategy is to use the virtual force to direct the updating of DE for improving the convergence speed, and DE is used to enhance the global searching ability. Simulation results show that VFDE has better performance on regional convergence and global searching than VF algorithm and DE algorithm, and it can implement dynamic heterogeneous mobile sensor deployment efficiently and rapidly.
