Abstract: Guangxi rural contiguous environmental governance project was started in April 2011, with 88 sets of sewage treatment facilities, 22 sets of household garbage collection treatment facilities. The finishing of 74 sets of sewage treatment facilities, and 19 sets of life garbage collection treatment facilities revealed that this project start-up was basically normal. According to the situation of the contiguous rural environmental governance project in Lijiang River basin and the Red River Valley, it shows that the scale of rural sewage treatment facilities is generally small—the average scale is 107.2 m3/d, the average price of unit construction investment ( including pipeline construction ) is 6445 Yuan/m3, and the main treatment process is the bio-contact oxidation method + constructed wetland; the average price of unit construction investment on rural garbage disposal is 339.2 thousands of Yuan, garbage collection and clearance are the main processes, meanwhile the urban and rural garbage integration treatment mode — “household classification - village collection - township transfer - county treatment” is only carried out in the regions of nearby towns and convenient transportation.

Abstract: This work aims preparation cheaper and high performance reticulate porous ceramic (RPC) for organism carrier. The RPC were made from clay by polymeric foam replication process. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) phase analysis indicates that the RPC mainly consist of mullite when sintered at 1350°C. The surface status of different component RPC was observed under scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The bio-film properties of different component and different pore size RPC were evaluated by the removal rates of CODCr and NH3-N. The results show that the RPC had high effectiveness for microorganisms’ adsorption, the removal rates of CODCr and NH3-N are all reach to 90%, and the bio-film effect is related to porosity, pore size and surface status of the RPC, but the porosity and pore size play more important role than the surface status of these carriers in bio-film process, the RPC carriers with more porosity and suitable pore size achieve better sewage treatment effect.

Abstract: This keynote paper aims at introducing applications of ultrasonic radiation force in industry. The chosen focus is to understand how to use it. Since the phenomenon of acoustic levitation can reflect the exciting of ultrasonic radiation force directly. The paper starts with an analysis on the tungsten ball floating on a sound field and ultrasonic micro-manipulation study in micro Electronic Mechanical System (MEMS). And ultrasound has been successfully used to degrade wastewater as its cavitation. At the same time, different kinds of micro-ultrasonic machining were used to show how exciting machining and ultrasonic radiation combined. A view from the authors and the final Conclusions show future applications of ultrasonic radiation force.
