Abstract: In this paper, game and optimization theory is applied to the marine navigation in congested waters. The process of game ship control is mentioned first, and then the base model and the approximated models are described with the simulation results. For each approximated model of the dynamic game, an appropriate method of safe control to support the navigator decision in a collision situations has been assigned. The considerations have been illustrated an examples of a computer simulation of several algorithms to determine the safe ship's trajectory in situations of passing many of the ships encountered, recorded on the radar screen in real navigational situation at sea.

Abstract: In this paper, an Improved Ant Colony Algorithm is applied to the identification of the ship motion modelNomotos 1st-order nonlinear model. A robust method based on Ant Colony Algorithm is proposed for the optimization of the continuous function. The transfer criterion of the ants between each layer and global pheromone updating process are described. Some experiments results show that this method has good identification accuracy. The algorithm is feasible and effective, is of enormous significance to the system identification of ship motion.

Abstract: The novel multilayer feed-forward AND-OR fuzzy neural network (AND-OR FNN) is proposed in this paper. The main feature is shown not only in reducing the input space by special inner structure of neurons, but also auto-extracting the rules by the structure self-organization and parameter self-learning. The equivalent is proved that the network structure and fuzzy inference. The whole structure of network is optimized by genetic algorithm to extract if-then rules. This designing approach is employed to modeling an AND-OR FNN controller for ship control. Simulated results demonstrate that the number of rule base is decreased remarkably and the performance is much better than ordinary fuzzy control, illustrate the approach is practicable, simple and effective.

Abstract: Marine accidents occurring nowadays testify to the fact that systems enhancing the level of navigational safety are indispensable. This paper describes a method of safe ship control in the collision situation in a fuzzy environment based on a genetic algorithm. The optimal safe ship trajectory in a collision situation is presented as multistage decision-making process. The results have been discussed.

Abstract: The paper introduced the dynamic programming algorithm of own ship optimal and safe trajectory in situation a many of encountered objects. The moving domains of met objects are introduced as neural state constraints in the form of circle, parable, ellipse and hexagon. Finally the computer simulation of multistage own ship control in real navigational situations at sea is presented.

Abstract: Using as an example the process of safe ship’s control, the paper presents the problem of applying a positional non cooperative game of j objects for the description of the process considered as well as for the synthesis of optimal strategies. The approximated mathematical model of differential game in the form of dual linear programming problem is used for the synthesis of safe ship’s trajectory as a multistage process decision. The considerations have been illustrated an example of a computer simulation the MPGAME program to determine the safe ship's trajectory in situation of passing a many of the objects encountered.
