Abstract: In this work, the flow of a couple stress nanofluid in a vertical channel with heat and mass transfer in the presence of a magnetic field and taking account the Brownian motion, the thermophoresis as well as the effect of Soret and Dufour was simulated numerically using Matlab following the code bvp4c. The nonlinear partial differential equations governing this particular flow are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations via the similarity technique. The influence of the parameters describing the behavior of the problem studied on the velocity, temperature, concentration and volume fraction fields of the nanoparticles, as well as on the coefficient of friction, Nusselt and Sherwood numbers, were highlighted for the end of the study. understand their effect on heat and mass transfer. The rheology of the nanofluid and the magnetic field have a strong impact on the velocity and temperature profiles, while the parameters of Brownian motion and thermophoresis promote heat transfer.

Abstract: It is well known that a lot of concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) arch bridges were built in China. Thus it became a main bridge type. Its architectural design shows much novelty, while the structural design is always conducted based on the finite element (FE) model analysis. Meanwhile there is no professional code for design and construction of this type of bridge. To overcome these disadvantages, scaled model tests are preferable to evaluate the mechanical behavior and provide guidelines for design and construction of prototype bridges. In this paper, an irregular CFST arch bridge as the prototype was introduced and a 1/16 scaled bridge model was designed and constructed according to the similarity theory. The experimental study on the scaled model was aimed to simulate the construction stages and mechanical behavior under moving loads. The test results are used to make comparison with the construction monitoring and bearing-capacity load test of the prototype. The analysis shows that the experimental results of the scaled model are close to the measured results of the prototype. The scaled model test was proved to be valuable for the pre-camber setup of the arch rib and the tension optimization of the suspenders and for the operation safety.

Abstract: Detecting similar instance is a research hot spot of Example-Based Machine Translation. The method of Vector Space Model is one of the mainstream detection methods. However, thereare two disadvantages for it: detection speed is very slow and synonym substitution is not accurate. To solve these problems, fingerprint retrieval algorithm is introduced to improve the detectionspeed. A concept of replacement cost is put forward to measure the accuracy of substitutionbetween synonyms. The result shows that this method can not only improve the detection speed butalso produce a certain improvement to the accuracy of the similarity calculation.

Abstract: Starting with synergetics and systems engineering theory, this paper proposes a model for measuring the similarity among allocated modules of Project Portfolio Allocation at the level of project. Utilizing concepts like order parameter of fit, good-of-fit for Project Portfolio Allocation (PPA) and similarity among allocated modules, this paper uses the value of similarity among allocated modules of PPA to reflect the similarity among allocated module which provides a useful analytical methods for project portfolio allocation management in large state-owned firms. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed model is demonstrated and validated by a case study.

Abstract: The similarity in water environment variation course and economic development of the Taihu Lake riverbasin and Japan is analyzed and harnessing countermeasures are introduced. The close relation between economic development and water environment is analyzed. It is suggested that coordinated development policy of “Population-Resources-Environment-Economy” should be adopted. The research results demonstrate that water quality variation trend of the Taihu Lake riverbasin in the period of 1980s-the late 1990s was very similar the that of Japan in the period of 1960s-1980s, the rapid economic development of the Taihu Lake Riverbasin in the 1980s-1990s was similar to that of Japan rapid economic development period of 1960s.-1970s, the economic development level and water environment state of Japan in 1970 was very similar to that of the Taihu Lake Riverbasin in 1998,the economic development and water environment variation of the Taihu Lake riverbasin lags behind 20 plus years than that of Japan. We can infer the present and future situation of the Taihu Lake according to the history and present social-economic and water environment development situation of Japan.

Abstract: A new similarity measurement standard is proposed, namely background similarity matching. Learning algorithm based on kernel function is utilized in the method for feature extraction and classification of face image. Meanwhile, a real-time video face recognition method is proposed, image binary algorithm in similarity calculation is introduced, and a video face recognition system is designed and implemented [1-2]. The system is provided with a camera to obtain face images, and face recognition is realized through image preprocessing, face detection and positioning, feature extraction, feature learning and matching. Design, image preprocessing, feature positioning and extraction, face recognition and other major technologies of face recognition systems are introduced in details. Lookup mode from top down is improved, thereby improving lookup accuracy and speed [3-4]. The experimental results showed that the method has high recognition rate. Higher recognition rate still can be obtained even for limited change images of face images and face gesture with slightly uneven illumination. Meanwhile, training speed and recognition speed of the method are very fast, thereby fully meeting real-time requirements of face recognition system [5]. The system has certain face recognition function and can well recognize front faces.

Abstract: For dynamical changed network topology and unstable links, this paper proposes a mobility prediction-based weighted clustering algorithm for vehicular ad-hoc network with high mobility nodes. In the CH election stage, it computes vehicle’s priority through the similarity, intimacy and centrality, the vehicles with the highest priority in their neighborhoods are selected as the CHs, this scheme suitable for large scale network. NS2 simulation results show that the proposed clustering scheme improves the stability of cluster structure, prolongs the CH duration time, improves the delivery ratio.

Abstract: Echo fidelity is an important characteristic of radar simulator and it influences accuracy and reliability of radar test directly. This paper introduces the research status of simulator fidelity and sort out the definition and property of radar echo simulation fidelity. Then we propose the numerical calculation methods for individual indicators, including similarity calculation, dissimilarity computing and interval changes three parts. Finally, on the basis of the evaluation system, we propose two calculation methods for entirety fidelity, they are weighted numerical calculation and umbrella figure methods.
