Abstract: In the process of open mill mixing, the rubber material is mainly affected by shearing action and stretching action. In order to research the impacts that shearing action and stretching action have on the final mixing properties of rubber, firstly, the mill mixing process was simulated and calculated by PLOYFLOW software in the paper, and worked out the magnitude of shearing action and stretching action under different mixing conditions; then tested the properties of different kinds of mixing rubber which were mixed under different mixing conditions of open mill; finally, worked out the impacts which shearing action and stretching action have on the properties of mixing rubber by comparisons of the result of simulation and of the properties of mixing rubber.

Abstract: Pure polystyrene (PS) was subjected to natural weathering in Qionghai (QH) and Ruoqiang (RQ) of China, representing hot and humid climate and xerothermic climate respectively. The degradation profile of pure PS was studied by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Spectrophotometer. Artificial accelerated weathering tests protocol A and B were carried out to simulate hot and humid climate and xerothermic climate respectively. Results show that pure PS degrade slowly at the initial stage and then become faster. Color shift could be an appropriate indicator for evaluating simulated effect of artificial accelerated weathering and protocol A simulate hot and humid climate perfectly while protocol B turns out weak for xerothermic climate.

Abstract: The process of a power reactor spent fuel reprocessing pilot plant had been completed after many years of scientific research experiment and engineering construction, while the commissioning results indicated that some technological problems exist in a few key equipments, especially the shearing machine. As the main design basis it is needed to obtain accurate shear force so as to improve research of shearing machine. In this paper, shearing fracture process and shear force have been simulated in ABAQUS software, also a sample type of shear machine has been realize to do the shearing experiment. Through the study, simulation result is verified reliable comparing with the experimental data and the research method using computer simulation combined with experiment verification is significance to the research of spent fuel reprocessing.

Abstract: Based on the movement characteristics, the four-bar mechanism of Micro-swing Engine was designed. The mechanism transform swing movement into rotary motion. With the kinematics model, the moving law of four-bar mechanism was analyzied. And simulate the machinery with computer to abtain the movement of curve of four-bar mechanism. The results show that the four-bar mechanism of Micro-swing Engine running smoothly and the inertia can be overcome the dead point. This will provides the theoretical basis for four-bar mechanism of Micro-swing Engine.

Abstract: After the description of finite element model of three-dimensional heat conduction, the software FLOEFD is used to simulate a components temperature fields under various heat sources, to get the temperature difference curves and to analysis the difference between them. It comes out that when the power of heat source changes as a triangular curve, corresponding temperature difference is lower than that of sinusoidal power curve, but larger than that of constant power; Change rate of temperature difference of triangular power curve is lower than that of sinusoidal and constant power, but larger than that of square power curve. The distinction of temperature difference is caused by the different change-rate of inputting heat; the distinction of changing rate of temperature difference is caused by the different changing rate of heat source power.

Abstract: We simulated the output torque relation and transient magnetic field for permanent magnet coupling in different states using Ansoft Maxwell 3D software, we can conclude that the design device can obtain large and smooth torque output and be suitable for mine working environment. We tested and verified the conclusion with experiment at the same time, and analysed deviation ,this provided the basis for conformation optimization and function analysis for permanent magnet coupling.

Abstract: Henan Yima low rank coal is used to simulate the formation condition of coal biogenic methane in this paper. This experimental study is the impact of temperature, salinity, pH, Eh, trace elements, coal quality and coal rank on bio-methane concentration. Then this paper use analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to study the impact of the size of different factors on biological methane concentration on quantitative, which shows pH is the most important influence factors and the influence degree of different factors is pH, trace elements, coal quality, coal rank, salinity, temperature and Eh.

Abstract: Virtual manufacturing technology is used to simulate the computer numerical control (CNC) lathe, virtual prototype of the CNC lathe is established. In the simulating process, the explain module and the check module of the CNC code are analyzed, the differential radial dynamic scaling technology is used to simulate the workpiece forming process, then the motion simulation of the virtual CNC lathe system is realized, and the system is drived by the CNC code. The machining process and workpiece forming process can be observed directly in the virtual environment, so the correctness of the CNC code can be checked in advance to avoid the interference, collisions or other problems in the actual lathe processing and reduce the the scrap rate of the workpiece and tool in the actual machining process.

Abstract: Lagrangian and Eulerian modelling approaches are compared for simulating turbulent dispersion and coalescence of droplets within a spray. Both models predict similar droplet dispersion rates and shifts in droplet size distribution due to coalescence within the spray, over a wide range of droplet and gas flows, and for sprays with different droplet size distributions at the nozzle exit. The computer time required for simulating coalescence within a steady axisymmetric spray is of a similar order of magnitude regardless of which formulation, Eulerian or Lagrangian, is adopted. However, the Lagrangian formulation is more practical in terms of the range of applicability and ease of implementation.
