Abstract: Application of high-speed on-off valve in the hydraulic cylinder speed control system was researched in this paper. Series and parallel application schemes between high-speed on-off valve and hydraulic cylinder are proposed. Model of high-speed on-off valve and hydraulic circuit were established to carry out simulation. The speed and acceleration curve of hydraulic cylinder were achieved by the means of simulation with Simulink. The simulation curves show that, two application schemes can both control the speed of hydraulic cylinder effectively. Series application scheme can be only applied to small flow hydraulic system; parallel application scheme has wider application.

Abstract: Increasing impermeable surface area has become a serious burden for drainage of urban stormwater. It is thus important to know how much surface runoff may be generated by storms of varying intensity and duration, especially on a continual daily basis. In this paper, the field hydrology model-DRAINMOD was used to simulate daily surface runoff under different surface condition in Xi’an, China. As a major hydrological components in DRAINMOD, daily evapotranspirations were calculated with the FAO Penman-Monteith method and read into the model. Infiltration parameters were considered as calibration factors in the modeling process. Available data from a local rainfall-runoff experiment were used for model calibration by matching the model predicted surface runoff with the measured values on an event basis. The calibrated model was then used for long term simulations in order to examine the impact of varying climatic conditions and land cover on urban runoff. The modeling results may provide a practical guidance for city storm water management.

Abstract: An analog circuit model of the left heart-arterial coupling system has been designed to study the behavior of the left heart-arterial system. Then the state variable method was used to analyze the circuit model and establish the mathematical model. We use Matlab/Simullink tool to simulate the mathematical model. Some important parameters of the left heart circulation system, such as left ventricular (LV) pressure, left atrium pressure, aortic pressure, aortic flow, LV end-diastolic volume and end-systolic volume, can be obtained. The results are matched the actual physiological, which suggests that the model presented in this paper provides a useful tool to investigate the functional status of left heart-arterial system.

Abstract: This paper proposes an active braking control dynamical system in order to establish a safe and efficient vehicle driving stability control test system. Aiming at Chery A3 sedan, set up the active braking control dynamic simulation system base on MATLAB/Simulink. Adopting the brake driving integration ESP control strategy, analyze and verify the stability control performance of independent vehicle system and vehicle ESP test system based on active braking control respectively in under steering and excessive steering two test conditions. The analyzing results indicate that the test system based on active braking control can effectively assist vehicle travelling in the absence of ESP control or ESP control system failure; when vehicle has ESP control system, the driving stability control performance of this system and independent vehicle system has remarkable consistency. The active braking control system provides a basis for research of vehicle driving stability control test.

Abstract: A computer simulation program is presented for simulating the characteristic parameters of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) by using the MATLAB/SIMULINK and Visual Basic (VB). The simulation program is developed based on the empirical models for PEMFC. The simulation results show that the developed simulation program can be used as a useful tool for simulating the characteristic parameters of PEMFC.

Abstract: The research of the dynamic performance is particularly important so as to improve the performance of electric vehicles. The method of computer modeling and simulation can be used to reduce the expense and shorten design cycle. The theory of dynamic performance standards of electric vehicle performance is introduced, and then, the main component of electric vehicle and the whole vehicle model are built up based on the advanced vehicle simulation software ADVISOR platform, which is developed by U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The curve results of the dynamic performance are obtained after the simulation of virtual electric vehicle, and it is consistent with the actual vehicle movement. At the same time, the simulation results can be served as essential reference for development and improvement of new vehicles.

Abstract: Multi-fingered robot hands have been one of the major research topics because several robotic systems, including service robots, industrial robots and wheel-type mobile robots require grasping and manipulation of a variety of objects as crucial functionalities. Roughly speaking, there are two different types of robotic behavior: free motion, purpose of this paper and constrained motion that would be published in the near future. In this paper, we address the problem of multi-fingered robot hand’s dynamic modeling which is fundamental in design of model-based controllers for grasping and manipulation tasks. Based on the specified multi-fingered robot hand, a new methodology for deriving an efficient dynamic equation by the Lagrange formulation is presented. This methodology is new in the sense that it considers the coupling dynamics of the system in the identification of the parameters of the dynamic equation. Furthermore the developed dynamic model leads to decoupling dynamic characteristics, by which the control of different parts of the system can be separately simulated. So the new structure of the dynamic model was very useful and effective for the simulation and the diagnostic. Several simulation results proved that the derived dynamic model can predict the motion of the multi-fingered hand in free motion.

Abstract: In order to further enhance the penetration merit, the extended structure has been improved and optimized. In this paper, the LS-DYNA code was employed for normal incidence simulation on several extended structures of the same mass. Target material is RHA603 at the speed between 1.47km/s to 1.77km/s. The numerical simulation results show that on the basis of the general extended penetrator of the merit was further improved by add connector structure. While at the speed of 1.57 km/s, transverse reflux was formed by the erosion of material in the course of its penetration. This greatly reduces the penetration efficiency. Then by the addition of plug,it makes the merit of extended penetrator greater stability and efficiency, the maximum merit was up to 18.1%.

Abstract: Terminal sliding mode control (TSMC) was designed with introduction nonlinear function into sliding hyper-plane, which makes tracing error converge to zero in finite time. The standard TSMC (STSMC) control and non-singular TSMC (NTSMC) control was designed for an uncertain two-order nonlinear dynamic system, the sliding function and controller of STSMC control and NTSMC control are designed respectively, also the finite time of arrival was analyze. The stability was proved with Lyapunov theory, the performance comparison of STSMC and NTSMC was simulated with conclusions that STSMC control and NTSMC control are all feasible control for nonlinear system, STSMC control exist singular problem, but NTSMC control without singular problem, with sliding surface and control law with different parameters, the control characteristic can realized, which was suitable for special control system.
