Abstract: In this design, the concept of static magnetic field was given up and the idea of controlling the arc discharge by transverse rotating magnetic field (TRMF) was put forward. Based on the principle of RMF generation, the specific scheme and the cohesiveness integral structure design of the TRMF steered arc source were constructed. In the specific design, a bipolar symmetric RMF (N-S) parallel to the cathode surface and homogenously covered the whole cathode was generated by stationary three-phase windings carrying three-phase alternating currents without any visible physical rotation. Through changing the frequency and the amplitude of the exciting current (these two parameters can be adjusted independently), the speed of rotation and the magnetic intensity could be regulated continuously. Experiments about TRMF steered arc source used in vacuum arc deposition (VAD) showed that: the arc voltage increased with not only an increase in the intensity of magnetic field connected with the supplied current but also an increase in the frequency of magnetic field. TRMF could reduce MPs content to a great extent and get a smooth film surface. A high utilization of the target was achieved due to the homogenous arc discharge covered the entire cathode surface. We believe this design is a new-type arc source and it will bring inspiration and great interest in the VAD domain.

Abstract: The development process of software simulating physical chemistry experiments “The determination of saturated vapor pressure of liquid” as an example was shown based on Flash 8 software as a software developing platform and Photoshop as auxiliary software. The process of elements and instruments’ formation, the connection of instruments, the production of all kinds of scenes and their animation, the recording of sound, the simulation procedures were displayed. The courseware has been used in the physical chemistry experiment teaching. The good effect is obtained from the statistics of the student evaluations.

Abstract: A pineapple harvesting robot consisted of a manipulator arm, an end-actuator, a positioning identification device, a frame, a fruit box, a traveling mechanism and a control system was put forward. Four degrees of freedom, including X, Y, Z axis translations and a wrist rotation were required for pineapple picking. A cartesian-coordinate mechanism scheme for the manipulator arm was designed. A sliding-lever double-fulcrum structure was selected for the clamping mechanism of the end-actuator. The cutting device was designed. Pro/E software was applied for establishing 3-D parametric model of parts, assembling parts or components. By setting constraint relations among parts or components, general assembly model of the harvesting manipulator was built. Through several times of simulation with different motion parameters, repeated result analysis and dynamic interference check, optimized structure and working parameters of the pineapple harvesting manipulator was obtained.

Abstract: The sudden failure is a transient failure. Its occurrence time is short and it is very difficult to prevent. In order to prevent the sudden failure on aircraft, a monitoring project is presented. It is based on the mechanism analysis of aircraft sudden failure and the evolvement parameters of sudden failure are used Simulation monitoring system is designed by an example of engine surge at the same time. Results shown that this method can effective prevent occurrence of sudden failure by adjustment of the evolvement parameters on aircraft sudden failure.

Abstract: Based on our Fibre-Channel Token-Routing Switch-Network, a high performance/price ratio cluster computing platform is put forward and developed for simulation design which needs large-scale parallel computation. According to the feature of our cluster computing platform, the cluster computing software platform is proposed and implemented. The cluster computing software platform has two parts: the cluster management scheduling sub-platform and the cluster tasks running sub-platform. The cluster management scheduling sub-platform is composed of the cluster management system and the task scheduling system, and the cluster tasks running sub-platform includes the FC-TR communication software and the FC-TR parallel programming environment. The FC-TR communication software provides high-bandwidth, low-latency communication services for the parallel programming environment on the upper layer, while the parallel programming environment makes a number of large-scale-computation simulation design applications run on our network seamlessly. The experiment results show that our cluster computing platform has achieved better performance than the Scali cluster computing platform.

Abstract: That automobile steering system are designed to suitable or not have a direct impact on vehicle safety, handling stability and driving comfort.The rotary valve of hydraulic power assisted steering system is one of the key components which affects the automotive steering performance. Design a reasonable spool valve in size can allow the car to get good properties . In this paper we use Visual Basic 6.0 to make a design calculations on rotary valve firstly, and then use the VB to carry out the numerical simulation on the steering performance of rotary valve and fitting the performance curve secondly, This method raised the design precision of the rotary valve, the design calculations is simplified.
