Abstract: To solve the confusing problem of different grades of slurry in the grades pipeline, this paper presents a new technology for slurry sizing dehydration. The method realizes the grading treatment by making full use of dehydrating station agitation tank and thickener buffer storage capacity. Research has shown that the method can effectively solve the grading dehydration process after the arrival terminal dehydration station in different grade slurry, and ensure the multi-grade mineral classification sequence transportation process completed successfully.

Abstract: Due to the existence of different grades of mineral in the mining area, the technology of slurry pipeline grade transmission is developing. However, the process of grade transmission will appear the phenomenon that the slurry of different grades are mixed. Therefore, before cutting into different grade slurry, we added special medium in pipeline to separate different grades of slurry. We worked out slurry pipeline transport model by mathematical modeling and building slurry pipeline transport real-time location tracking system. The system was able to distinguish different grades of slurry by adding special medium and tracking the actual location of the head and tail of slurry, realizing real-time position monitoring of different grade slurry.

Abstract: This paper introduces two models for calculating friction loss in slurry pipeline. Based on the comparison between the measured pressure loss of the highly concentrated iron ore concentrate slurry pipeline in Dahongshan, Yunnan Province, CHINA and the calculation outcomes of the two models, the model which can predict pressure loss in this kind of slurry pipelines has been found.

Abstract: For the complex terrain, in long-distance slurry pipeline, the core equipment of the running pipeline - valve monitoring is particularly important. This paper based on the actual running conditions of Yunnan Dahongshan pipeline, developed an intelligent valve control system. Valve monitoring and management can be seen in this system, which combines software programming, measurement technology, communication networks, as well as order management, fault management, spare parts management, query statistics. Getting running parameters rely on the monitoring system, and then for the mathematical model of solid traffic in slurry pipeline transportation, the slurry weight can be measured. The system achieved valve monitoring and management very well, improving the long-distance slurry pipeline running reliability.
