Abstract: This paper describes a small scale energy transfer by using magnetic coil made with enamel coil, which is installed on the transceiver side and function generator and RF power amplifier are installed as source to generated signal, and on the receiving side is using an enamel coil materials as antenna. In this experiment obtained energy as it travels from the transceiver can be received at the receiver side without any media or cable, the principle of electromagnetic fields used in this experiment. Number of coil inductive coupling has been compare. Number of turn 4, efficiency 91 % at 0 cm with 4.55 volt and the lower efficiency 70% at 5 cm with 3.1 volt. And number of turn 8, efficiency 97.8% at 0 cm with 4.89 volt and the lower efficiency 70% at 5 cm with 3.50 volt

Abstract: High performances and operation with low water consumption are mandatory but not sufficient conditions for the Combined Cycles Units implementation in the terrestrial propulsion systems field. There is another restrictive condition, which refers on the admitted size. That is why a dimensional analysis of the Combined Cycles Units is mandatory. In this view, paper presents the results of the dimensional analysis of a small scale Combined Cycles Unit for terrestrial propulsion, based on a two-pressure-levels Steam Cycle and operating with liquid fuel.

Abstract: Currently, Combined Cycle Power Plants represent the most advanced technology in the domain of high and medium power generation units operating with fossil fuels. Consequently, the interest for their implementation in the propulsion systems field is justified. At this moment, Combined Cycle Units are used for propulsion only on ships (marine propulsion). The present study goes one step further by referring to a small scale Combined Cycle Unit configured for operation as terrestrial propulsion system and based on a two-pressure-levels Steam Cycle. The performances of this unit are analyzed function by the compressor pressure ratio and HRSG feed water temperature.

Abstract: In this paper, the boundary condition on free vibration of cantilever single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with Winkler elastic medium is investigated. The Euler beam theory with nonlocal elasticity is modeled as SWCNT. The analytical solution is derived and the numerical results show that the additional boundary conditions from small scale do not change natural frequencies. The reason is that the additional work made by the moment and shear force at the free end from small scale effect cancel each other, the boundary conditions due to local elasticity and nonlocal elasticity are also equivalent. Thus for simplicity, one can apply the local boundary condition to replace the small scale boundary condition.

Abstract: The transverse dynamical behaviors of softness Euler-Bernoulli nanobeams subjected to a biggish initial axial force based on nonlocal elasticity theory are investigated in this paper. The size-dependent theory is considered and a small intrinsic length scale parameter unavailable in classical continuum mechanics is adopted into the problem model as a size parameter. The linear partial differential governing equation is derived from the Newton’s second law and the ordinary equation and its dispersion relation are gained from by the method of separation of variables. Five sets of supporting conditions are presented respectively including simply supported, fully clamped, flexible fixed ends, sliding supports ends and completely free ends. Vibration frequencies are obtained approximately and correlations between the natural frequency and the dimensionless small scale parameter are also analyzed and discussed in detail. It shows that an increase in small scale parameter and dimensionless initial axial tension causes natural frequency to increase, while an increase in the dimensionless stiffness of nanostructures causes natural frequency to decrease, or the nanostructural bending stiffness is enhanced when nonlocal effects are considered.

Abstract: For analyzing reduction vibration effect of high-rise isolated structure with LRB, experimental research on shaking table of isolated structure model on a scale down of 1:16 in two-direction earthquake wave input was conducted. Ratio similitude design of model and earthquake wave input was unified for reflection dynamical characteristic of actual structure in the test. Earthquake responses of isolated top structure acceleration and interblended displacement have been analyzed. The experimental result indicts that isolated top structure acceleration and interblended displacement were reduced. Therefore the isolation technology for high-rise structure also has better reduction vibration effect.

Abstract: Resistance microwelding is an important joining process used in the fabrication of miniature instruments. The small-scale resistance spot weldability of Zr based glassy thin sheet alloys was investigated. Metallic glass sheets were successfully welded and amorphous structure was maintained in both weld nugget and heat affected zone. Joint strength that is evaluated by shear breaking force increased as the welding current increased, resulting from nugget growth. Fractured surface showed typical vein pattern.
