Abstract: This work aims at investigating the stages and irregularity of plastic strain in austenitic stainless steel 12Kh18N9T within a temperature range of 143 < T < 420 K. The localized plastic strain fronts at different stages of strain hardening have been visualized and monitored via digital speckle photography (DSP). This method consists in the high-accuracy recording of the displacement field via tracking any material surface changes and the subsequent comparison of speckle images acquired under uniaxial tension. The stress-strain diagrams were found to strongly vary with a decrease in temperature due to strain-induced-phase transition. The analysis of localized strain distributions revealed the emergence of a mobile system of equidistant strain localization foci at the strain hardening stage. The temperature dependence of plastic strain localization parameters at the linear strain hardening stage was established as well.

Abstract: Double exposure speckle is proposed to calibrate eddy current sensor in micro-displacement measurement for its simplicity, robustness and high resolution. The specklegram is taken as the vector of the displacement. The actual displacement of an object is calculated according to the speckle displacement on the spatial term, which is worked out according to the fringe spacing on the spectrum surface. A calibration system is proposed with proper speckle size and imaging magnification. Experiments showed that the accuracy of displacement measurement is 0.196um with an optical magnification 65.8. The calibration curve of the eddy current sensor is consistent with the result by a nanopositioning system.

Abstract: In the present study, the features of plastic strain localization and structure of polycrystalline low carbon steel Fe-0.07%C were investigated after hot rolling and electrolytic hydrogen saturation. The method of double-exposure speckle photographyhave been used for identification of main types and parameters of plastic flow localization at different stages of strain hardening.Shown the effect of hydrogen on changing of defect substructure and cementite morphology by using optical and electron microscopy.

Abstract: According to the principle of speckle photography, CCD(Charge-Coupled Device) as a recorder, and EALCD(Electrically Addressed Liquid Crystal Display) as a read-out element, which makes the speckle photography to digital. Recording light path of the subjective and the objective speckle and observation light path of full-field analysis and point-by-point analysis for fringe reconstruction have been respectively researched. At the same time, measuring by speckle photography, the fringes in the interometry pattern must be carefully analyzed. Since the speckle noise can greatly infect the signals. Thus to de-noising the speckle fringe by a suitable filter before processing is expected. The mathod of digital filter enhancement, smooth denoising be used to reduce the influence of the high noise and the inhomogeneous grey of the speckle interferogram. Finally the thinning fringe is acquired, the fringe spacing is extracted accurately, the three-dimensional measurement of a deformed object is realized with mathematical morphological thinning algorithm.
