Abstract: Hydraulic drive mixers are widely employed to process the cohesive mixture, especially the energetic mixture. According to the mathematic models of main links of the speed regulating system of a hydraulic drive planetary mixer, a simulation model for the system was presented in this paper. The load and impulsion have impacts on the speed response of the speed regulating system with good performance of stability. The converted rotary inertia of the hydraulic motor has a two-sided impact on the speed regulating system, namely impact the response and the overshoot performance at the same time. And, the leakage of the hydraulic drive system often has a bad impact on the speed response of the regulating system.

Abstract: The performance of speed regulating is very important to the mixing process with safe, efficient operation and high quality of production. Strategies and practices of responses and optimization of a PID-based speed regulating system of a planetary mixer were presented in this paper. Research results show that: by means of the signal constraint function presented by Simulink Response Optimization, optimization PID parameters of the 2-DOF-PID controller can be obtained, and the response of close-loop control system has quite good performance of overshoot, response time, and stability compared with an open-loop control system.

Abstract: Hydraulic drive mixers are widely employed to process the cohesive mixture, especially the dusty and energetic mixture. In this study, the modeling method of the AC frequency control speed regulating system of a planetary mixer was presented. The speed regulating system consists of links of frequency converter(FC), asynchronous motor(AM), and hydraulic circuit(HC). The stability analysis was conducted by applying specification parameters of the FC, AM and HC. Result shows that the speed regulating system is stable by Routh criterion with amplitude margin 21.4db and phase margin 17.9degree.
