Abstract: Yttrium-stabilized zirconia fibers were prepared at low temperature via a novel non-hydrolytic sol-gel (NHSG) method by using anhydrous zirconium chloride as precursor, ethanol as oxygen donor, yttrium hydride as stabilizer, dibasic ester (DBE) as solvent, ethoxyline as spinning aid. DTA-TG, XRD, FT-IR, FE-SEM and TEM were used to characterize samples. The results show that the YSZ tetragonal zirconia can be synthesized at 410 °C and the formation of =Y-O-Zr≡ bond is the key for the low temperature synthesis tetragonal zirconia. Zirconia fibers calcined at 800 °C have a smooth surface, free of crack and dense section. The diameter of fibers are in the range of 5~10 μm. The addition of ethoxyline can make the colloidal particles linear growth which is the basic reason for the spinnability of the sol.

Abstract: The extensional rheological properties of the PAN/DMSO spinning solution using ultrahigh molecular weight (UHMW) PAN as additive were studied. The effects of the additive content on the extensional rheological curve, the extensional viscosity, as well as the spinnability of the PAN/DMSO spinning solution were investigated. The results revealed that the spinnability was related to such factors as solution concentration, additive content, temperature, apparent extensional viscosity and extensional strain rate. The effect of additive on the spinnability of the spinning solution turned out to be small when additive contents were set at a very low level. The spinnability of the spinning solution was optimized when the additive content was 0.5%wt, while the spinning solution adding 1%wt additive had a good spinnability only at a relatively higher temperature.

Abstract: Dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) doped polypanilines (PANIs) were chemically synthesized in different molar ratios of aniline (An) to ammonium persulfate (APS) and An to DBSA. The microstructures of these PANIs were investigated by means of scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR). UV-Vis spectrometer, semiconductor parameter analyzer, ubbelohde viscometer and electrospinning technique were used to characterize the optical, electrical properties, viscosity and solubility of these PANIs. The results show that the molar rations of An to APS and An to DBSA had strong effect on the microstructure, molecular weight, degree of crystallinity, optical property, solubility and conductivity of obtained DBSA doped PANI. With the increase of the molar ratios of An to APS and An to DBSA, the conductivities and molecular weight of DBSA doped PANIs decreased, while the degree of crystallinity and solubility of DBSA doped PANIs increased. The DBSA doped PANI could dissolve in dichloromethane or HFIP and could be fabricated short fibers by electrospinning. Moreover, the solution of DBSA doped PANIs in concentrated sulphuric acid showed liquid crystal property.

Abstract: based on investigation and sample testing, studied on fiber property of color rabbit hair. The color rabbit hair has good spinnability. Foreground of color rabbit hair was analyzed. Being comfortable, dressing property well and environment friendly, color rabbit hair products will play an important role in market. The suggestions were put out that new fashionable super products with color rabbit hair be produced and its added value increased. Color rabbit hair fur is also a good leather material. Offal hair of color rabbit may be used to new extending products. Color rabbit hair market possess good foreground. It should be developed constantly.

Abstract: The eco-friendly cattail technical fiber obtained through degumming process, could meet the basic spinning conditions in aspects of fiber length, thickness and strength etc. It was difficult for cattail fiber to spin by itself. The cattail fiber blending with cotton was spun on ring spinning machine according to four different blending ratios. The properties of the blending yarn were tested and analyzed as well. The result reveals that the cattail fiber is capable for spining with cotton fiber together. The strength of the three blending yarn is higher than that of the pure cotton yarn. The strength is the highest when the blending ratio of cattail and cotton is 20/80. The amount of thin places, slugs of blending yarn increase while the neps, breaking elongation decrease according to the rise of the content of cattail fiber.

Abstract: Different varieties of hemp (Canabis sativa L.) are cultivated in many regions in China for the production of hemp plant fiber. The objective of this study was to evaluate differences in the growth cycle, yield, quality of fiber and spinnability among the different varieties. We analyzed and compared the yield, fiber percentage, chemical components, breaking strength and spinnability, which determines fiber combing yield and fineness, of different hemp fiber from eight C. sativa varieties (Longjiang 1#, USO-14, Yun-hemp 1#, Shandong hemp, Qingshui hemp, Ningxia 6757, Ningxia 6762, and USO-31). We analyzed the data with a gray near-optimized method to select the variety of hemp that gave the best quality of fiber and was, therefore, the most suitable for cultivation in Heilongjiang Province. The results identified Longjiang 1# as the most suitable variety, USO-14 is the next best, and Yun-hemp 1# as the least suitable.

Abstract: 7A09 aluminum alloy is served as an important structural material in many fields. In this paper, power spinning of semi-continuous casting 7A09 aluminum alloy tube blank was carried out, and the effects of process parameters, such as spinning temperature and roller feeding ratio, on spinnability were analyzed, further the mechanical property was tested on a tensile testing machine. The results show that: at 300°C and 1.2mm/r roller feeding ratio, semi-continuous casting 7A09 aluminum alloy tube blank has good spinnability; after spun, the yield strength is increased 44%, and elongation is increased 130%.
