Abstract: A Profibus-DP transform interface was designed. TakingAT89S52 and SPC3 as core, hardware of interface, software flow and GSD file were designed. The interface implemented access of Profibus-DP for traditional instrument and field equipment which weren’t provided with Profibus communication ability. Test results show that the interface can run data communication with main station at high speed, with high reliability and versatility.

Abstract: There are many types of Electric Vehicle (EV) applied in automotive industry. It can be hybridization or electrification vehicle. Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) also called as fully electric vehicle using batteries as the only source and an electric motor as a traction motor to move the vehicle. In a world view of BEV, it is still has circumstances that would strand the BEV to have huge commercialization due to range anxiety. This paper is discussing about an electrification vehicle power and energy management (PEM) strategy. PEM strategy has two layer control strategies that consist of low level component control and high level supervisory control. Management and control strategy in BEV is carefully designed due to heavy loads consumption from Propulsion Electrical Load (PEL) and Non Propulsion Electrical Loads (NoPEL) with a single energy source. This is to ensure that power and energy is managed at optimum level that will give some extension of wider kilometer of the vehicle. The BEV performance is typically controlled by high level supervisory control algorithm using event-based condition using state machine deterministic rule-based method. More than one drive mode to be determined in this paper as part of control strategy to get an optimal PEM performance.

Abstract: A multi-function, easily extensible and portable tracking and monitoring system is designed for traction and drive system to meet the growing requirements of high-speed EMUs, which is increasingly complex for real-time monitoring system. The design principle of the embedded hardware system based on the modular structure of CPCI bus is presented in details, and the realization of software functions such as on-line real-time data processing, offline data analysis, and human-machine interaction is put forward on the basis of LabVIEW development platform. Furthermore, the VI design and scheduling mechanism based on state-machine are elaborated, and the measurement algorithm and its implementation of the traction motors input power and constantly changing signal frequency of the monitoring system is also analyzed. The system has been applied in certain models of the high-speed EMUs, and its stable operation, flexible settings, high accuracy and good application effect makes it provide a scientific guarantee for the safe operation of the high-speed EMUs.

Abstract: Regarding the functional requirements for smart substation in fault recorder, this paper introduced μC / OS-II, an embedded real-time multitasking operating system as the functional design. The program works with the embedded operating system, the state machine theory and new methods for embedded development, whilst tasking full use of the advantages of such functions as task scheduling, message queues, etc., aiming to achieve a fault recorder function of intelligent substation. More than taking care of the difficulty of programming, it could improve the program reliability and portability. The program has been applied in an intelligent substation protection in centralized control unit, which has brought back a good fault recorder performance. On this basis, more functions can be integrated, including network log analysis, state estimation, etc., in order to truly meet the application requirements of the smart substations.

Abstract: A novel grid-connected photovoltaic system in electrical engineering with energy storage based on DC bus is proposed, which can integrate a microgrid system into a single device and make the development of distributed generation more flexible and accessible. The system is controlled to keep the voltage of DC bus constant, to utilize solar energy effectively and to prolong battery’s life. The control strategies of each of the subsystems are designed based on their characteristics and system requirements. The energy flow states containing all the possible operation states of the DC bus based system are presented in this paper, followed by the process control state machine to illustrate the energy management strategies is achieved. Finally, a simulation platform is established in MATLAB/Simulink to verify the presented control method.

Abstract: In order to overcome the difficulty of fault detection and clearing in the use and maintenance of a type of rocket mine-sweeping vehicle, the operation principle of fire-control system, the fault characteristics, fault parameters and fault distribution are studied. Furthermore, the fault detection instrument based on embedded system is developed. It consists of hardware and software. The hardware includes of embedded micro-controller STC5A60S2, keyword and highlight LED I/O, LCD, memory circuit, connector-adapter and dedicated connection cable. The dual CPU cooperative technology is also used in the hardware platform. The application software is developed with expert system principle, it runs in two modes of simplified and expert mode. In simple working mode, fire-control fault detection and substitute are performed. However, in expert mode, all the function of system testing, system substitute, fault-clear wizard and parameter management is accomplished. Meanwhile the state machine programming technology is introduced in the software. The instrument brings new ideas how to deduce expert repair in the field, and it has practical value.

Abstract: To minimize the influence of experiential factor and guarantee the software quality from the design phase, with the aid of unified modeling language (UML), an object-oriented design method for PLC program is presented. With UML as design tool, class diagram and state machine diagram are chosen respectively to describe the static structure and dynamic behavior of the PLC based control system, and PLC ladder diagram is acquired from state machine diagram subsequently. With the combination of object-oriented technology, UML and classic PLC design technology, the software reliability of PLC based control system is promoted, and the application area of object-oriented technology and UML is extended.

Abstract: With the advantages of high performance, linear burst transmission, plug and play, PCI bus is widely applied. As a result, it replaced the earlier ISA and EISA as a standard bus. This paper introduces a FPGA-based PCI target interface design method and its implementation on the basis of a practical project. It detailed the target state machine according to PCI 2.3 and designed the configuration space and other modules.

Abstract: Vehicle fuse box is an important unit for protecting circuit of vehicle, consequently its quality should be strictly guaranteed. In this paper a steady testing system is designed based on LabVIEW in the structure of double state machines, which is with functions such as data acquisition, testing information display, failure analyzing and data saving. As a result, effectiveness of testing is highly enhanced by applying it into practice.
