Abstract: The paper provides the analysis of steel truss under fire conditions according to the temperature method. The analysis was carried out for two variants of the fire curves (the standard one, used in traditional approach to fire design and a new one, proposed by the authors, called "exponential" curve). Both curves describe temperature of fire gases but they are obtained using different scenarios. In the case of the standard fire curve, increase in temperature is very rapid in the first minutes and then it decelerates. The exponential curve describes inverse situation: slow increase in temperature of fire gases followed by more rapid one. The fire history defined by the fire curve has great influence on temperature of an element in successive minutes of fire.

Abstract: The finite element models of the planar K-joint are established based on the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The bracing members are under the action of axial force and moment. Different rotational deformation values of the joint with different geometric parameters are reached with calculation and analysis. Results show that the deformation value approximate linearly increased with the increasing load of the bracing member. It also shows that the influence of the bracing member diameter and wall thickness is larger on rotational deformation values and the rotational deformation of the part of the K-joint is greatly influenced by the deformation of joint region.

Abstract: Assembled monolithic structure is a common structure in the process of housing industrialization, among which the composite plate is an indispensable element. The thickness of the precast slab of composite plate is small so special measures have to be adopted to prevent the excessive deformation even destruction occurred during hoisting or transport. A novel removable stiffness increasing device for precast slab is presented in this paper. The device consists of steel truss, upper steel plate and steel base plate and can effectively improve the performance of the slab during hoisting and transport. The device has the advantages of simple construction and no special equipment is necessary. The device can be removed after being hoisted and saving cost. The performance of the slab with the device during hoisting and transport is analyzed and appropriate shape parameters are suggested.

Abstract: Damage of steel truss structure can be determined by the sudden change of correlation dimension which was obtained from the structural vibration response through fractal theory. The streel truss structure was as exampled to verify this method. The results show that: this method can determine the damage location of the structure whether single damage or multi damage and can preliminarily judge the damage degree.

Abstract: This study proposes three structural support schemes for a forestage lighting gallery in a steel truss structure transformed into a lecture hall. The advantages and disadvantages of these schemes are analyzed and compared in terms of structural safety, disturbance implications, and professional cooperation on architectural decoration. A separate light steel frame supporting the forestage lighting gallery has more advantages than only the original truss components and is thus more suitable for the project. The three schemes are compared for the reference of designers confronting similar problems.

Abstract: The coal transport trestle as a connection channel is widely used in large and medium-sized coal enterprises, which plays an important role in the whole manufacturing process. The vibration problems in coal transport trestle can not only reduce the occupant comfort, cause people serious harm, but also have pernicious effect on structure. Along with the structure aging and dynamics property change, things go badly, which even causes enormous life and property loss. This paper describes the vibration testing and analysis methods of the steel truss coal trestle though engineering examples. The results show that the belt transport system is the main reason which caused the vibration of the STCT, and trestle must undergo resonance phase with the exciting force changes.

Abstract: The analysis to the staged construction of the long span steel transfer truss was performed. The focus was on the stress and deformation analysis of the transfer truss, the interactions of the transfer member with the concrete tube, and the combination analysis of the steel girder and concrete beam. It was proved that the method of staged construction can get the good result that can make full use of the characteristic of the steel material, make steel truss bear more load effect in the construction stage. So the load to the concrete tube is lessened, which makes the load effect of the structure is more rational. Some advices for the construction and design of steel transfer truss is also provided.

Abstract: The atrium roof system of shared space concerning large public buildingsis studied in this paper. The steel truss roof is wrapped with glass curtain wall which is relatively flexible and it is connected to the tower which is relatively rigid. Different separate means of the atrium roof as well as different connection modes between atrium roof and tower have great effect on mechanical performance of the whole structure. By comprehensive comparing various schemes of atrium roof and connection modes with tower, the internal force, displacement, modal as well as other parameters of roof and tower have been studied. The optimal connection scheme is also determined, which has good reference value for practical projects.

Abstract: Shear wall with concrete filled steel tube columns and concealed trusses is a new kind of shear wall. In order to further the seismic performance of the new shear wall, experiment was carried on three 1/5 scale models, which included one traditional RC shear wall, one shear wall with concrete filled steel tube columns, one shear wall with concrete filled steel tube columns and concealed trusses. Based on the experimental study, load-carrying capacity and hysteretic property of each model were analyzed. The study show that the seismic performance of shear wall with concrete filled round steel tube columns and concealed steel trusses has high bearing capacity and good hysteretic property. Load carrying capacity calculation of shear wall with concrete filled steel tube columns and concealed steel trusses were carried out, the calculate results were in good agreement with the measured results.

Abstract: According to the fact that the research about temperature stress of steel structure is few. In this paper, a factory steel truss which support raw material pipeline as an example, taking the 34-hour on-site continuous strain test on the steel truss caused by sunshine temperature. The experimental results show that the temperature stress has a great influence on the internal force of steel truss. And the results can provide a basis for engineering design.
