Abstract: Aiming at the phenomenon that the production line of the strip steel’s detection is fast speed and detection quantity of data is large, which are difficult for worker to detect on line, we put forward a detecting system on defect area of the strip steel’s surface. Using CCD camera regularly to collect the images of the strip steel’s surface and to reflect it back to the detecting device on defect of the strip steel’s surface, and adopting specific arithmetic to analyze and handle images, what can accurately sound a warning while it detects the defected image. It is convenient for worker to take corresponding measures right away. This system has simple structure, low cost, and high defect detection rate, which has the great promotional value.

Abstract: According to the chatter marks on strip steel of HC cold rolling mill , by analysis the collected vibration and simulation analysis on rolling mill, it is found that chatter marks of strip steel surface cuased by the Seventh-order natural frequency. Then, for analysising cuase of chatter marks on strip steel surface, relevant inhibiting chatter marks measures is put forward, and the measures are used for production which got a good inhibition effect of chatter marks.

Abstract: A lot of lubricating oil is consumed in the process of the cold rolling of stainless steel. The oil recovery is very important due to some reasons, such as the cost of production and environmental pollution. A set of lubricating oil recovery system is designed and constructed, which is equipped with a set of expanded size recovery oil pan for recycling splashed oil, a high efficiency two-level mist recovery system for recycling the oil mist, and an oil collection platform for recycling the oil rolled. The system is effectively to recovery more of lubricating oil through actual use and measurement.

Abstract: Double field detection method can effectively solve missing detection and mistake detection problems. But because the image data is two times as single field detection, and therefore the detection speed is slow. A new Processing flow is put forward. Firstly, the suspected defect images are filtered out, and only the images that contain defects can be processed in the follow programs. Secondly, the retained suspected defect images are divided into two categories. Different categories are handled by different process. The simulation experiment result shows that: it not only makes full use of the advantages of the double field method, and greatly reduces the image data quantity, at the same time ensuring the real-time of the system.

Abstract: Under the demand of steel enterprise’s production and consumer’s usage, by way of making up and improving continuous function of steel strip surface defects inspection system on-line, the system of grade assessing of surface quality and defects’ information of strip steel has been set up based on quality statistical method. The system of steel strip surface quality grade assessing standards has been analyzed by many steel enterprises in different countries and gotten the limitations of some of the standards. According to the rules of the National Hardwood Lumber Association of America and the feature of Chinese steel enterprise production, the grade assessing standards of steel strip surface quality has been established. Based on character of steel strip surface defects’ information, through the analysis of the requirement, aim and function, system of grade assessing of surface quality and defects’ information managed of strip steel has been developed to fit the demand of the enterprises and consumers.
