Abstract: In this work, Cu50Zr43Al7 metallic glass powders were produced by gas atomization method. The structure and crystallization characteristics of the as-prepared powders with different particle size distributions were studied in detail. The amorphous state of the alloy powders was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), in which amorphous phase formed. The scanning election microscopy (SEM) result showed that the selected metallic glass powder performed excellent owned good spherical morphology, which was also observed on an optical microscope (OM). At the same time, the particle size distributions ranging from 20 μm to 200 μm of as-prepared metallic glass powders were determined by laser diffraction. Moreover, the crystallization behavior of the Cu50Zr43Al7 metallic glass powders was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).

Abstract: This is companion paper with “Diamond-bead Wire Classification and Spectrum with POS Part I: Classification with Process and Subject”. The current study continued to collected and analyzed systematically a series of patterns of diamond-bead wires from the diamond-bead wire manufacturers throughout the globe and went insight into the essential elements of the wire, including the overall layout, shape characteristics, technological processes, cutting and grinding object, and studied in classification for the spectrum characteristics, with respect to the features of structure, process and the sawing object. The stress was on the method of classification with POS with respect to the structural characteristics, and a trial spectrum has been drawn on the POS classification for diamond–bead wires. Such subject was discussed and presented in two parts, and here is the second part for classification with structure and spectrum with POS.

Abstract: As a new kind of cutting and grinding tool, diamond-bead wire has gained multi-patterns and many applications. It is commonly comprised of six elements pertaining to corresponding roles for the capacity of the wire: wire rope, diamond bead, clip, spacer, joint, spring or plastic/rubber. For further systematic understanding of diamond-bead wires, researching and developing new bead wires, and making full use of bead wires, it is desperately needed to properly classify diamond-bead wires available and those that may exist in theory. The current study collected and analyzed systematically a hundred of patterns of diamond-bead wires from the diamond-bead wire manufacturers throughout the globe went insight into the essential elements of the wire, including the overall layout, shape characteristics, technological processes, cutting and grinding object, and studied in classification for the spectrum characteristics. And the structural feature covers skeleton package, spacing washer, and special structure; manufacturing process contains bead manufacturing methods and the wire producing processes; and sawing object includes the soft stone, hard stone, and other substances. A trial spectrum has been drawn on the POS classification. All the subjects were discussed and presented in two parts, and here is the first part for classification with processes and objects.

Abstract: In this paper, considering the method of theoretical analysis, the state of strain and stress on each section of composite beam of concrete−filled square steel tubes and T−beam is studied in the process of bending. According to structural and mechanical characteristics of composite beam, elastic analysis method is employed for stress analysis, and the calculation equations of elastic bend-bearing capacity of simply supported composite beam is given. Then the calculation equations of plastic limit bend-bearing capacity is deduced according to the unified theory.

Abstract: By analysing the structural characteristics of the compliant micro-displacement amplification mechanism and the examples of the compliant micro-displacement amplification mechanisms with different link length and link angel, the combined compliant structure formed with flexure hinges and link is important component, the length and the angel of the link affect the thickness ratio and length ratio of the combined compliant structure, which plays a key role in amplification of the mechanism. The design method is proposed aiming at improving the amplification, which is used in the improved design of the compliant micro-displacement amplification mechanism. The amplification analysis of the improved mechanism is done, which proves the validity and rationality of the improved design .

Abstract: Waste distiller's grains (WDG),a co-product of brewing industry, was an abundant source of biomass that could be hydrolyzed to yield fermentation sugar for the production of fuel ethanol. In this study, hydrolysis of WDG using mixed acid as catalysts was examined with the indices of the concentration of reducing sugar and furfural. The structural characteristics of WDG before and after acid treatment were also discussed by means of SEM, FTIR and XRD. The results indicate that there are 59.32gL-1 reducing sugar under the conditions of 100°C, solid-liquid ratio of 1:12 gmL-1, acid concentrations of 2.0% and time of 120 min, with the conversions rate of 77.38% and 62.50% for hemicelluloses and cellulose, respectively. SEM photographs show that the structural modifications after acid treatment are pronounced in comparison to that of WDG, which present a rigid and compact morphology. A lot of large irregular pores with different sizes and shapes are formed and the structures are also severely distorted resulting in the increasing surface exposure and porosity. Instrumental analyses with FTIR and XRD indicate that the strength of characteristic peaks for corresponding typical functional groups of each component are changed compared with the feedstock, and there is an increase of the crystallinity index when WDG is subjected to the MACH treatment.

Abstract: In the past decade, no geological research has been done in Zhaoyuan-Taipingchuan area. The research and understanding on the area is still in 1990s and far away from meeting the needs of exploration. What has to be done now is to further analyze the accumulation factors from points-view of tectonic characteristics, tectonic division and tectonic controlling over sedimentation. Deeper understanding on fault-lithology and lithology hydrocarbon reservoir is especially important for favorable hydrocarbon zone evaluation and target zone selection. Taking these into account, accumulation factors are briefly introduced in the article.

Abstract: By a circular operation of anaerobic mixing - aerobic aeration – sediment drain, a sludge with low activation obtained from a common sewage treatment plant is acclimated in laboratory. The acclimation is performed with simulated sewage and composed of three periods. In the every period, the sewage concentration is successively increased, the removal percentage of COD, NH4+-N and TP are measured, when the removal is stable, the period is transformed to next one. The outside and construction characteristics of the activated sludge are observed and the protozoon is examined. Meanwhile, some influence factors such as temperature, dissolved oxygen and pH are analyzed. The experiments show that the acclimated activated sludge is able to remove the COD, NH4+-N and TP effectively under a suitable but easy-to-be obtained conditions.
