Abstract: Metal complexes containing diimine ligands such as 1,10-phenanthroline and bipyridine are very important and widely used in analytical chemistry, catalysis, electrochemistry, ring-opening metathesis polymerization and biochemistry. 1,10-phenanthroline, which is the parent for important class chelating agents, has been widely used in the construction of supramolecular architectures. Lots of phenanthroline and its derivatives complex have been synthesized and reported. In the paper, a novel Mn and 3,4,6,7-tetramethyl-1,10-phenanthroline complex [Mn(C16H16N2)2] •Cl2 has been synthesized from a solution reaction and the crystal structure has been determined by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction. [Mn(C16H16N2)2] •Cl2, Orthorhombic, Pnna. a = 8.8376(8)Å b = 18.3630(17)Å c = 18.0159(18)Å α=β=γ=90°. V= 2923.7(5)Å3. Z=4. Rgt(F) = 0.0341, wRref(F2) = 0.0958. T= 273(2) K. The novel Mn metal complex structure is explained clearly.

Abstract: In the study of functional materials, more attention is the construction of organic–inorganic hybrid materials with structural diversity, fascinating properties, and potential applications in catalysis, molecular adsorption, medicine, electro-conductivity, magnetism and photochemistry. At present, the research work in upconversion emission in rare-earth doping materials has been greatly increased. Yb3+ and Ho3+ upconversion energy transfer is attractive, because Yb3+ and Ho3+ upconversion energy transfer is relatively simple compared to upconversion involving other rare-earth ions. In this paper, a novel holmium complex [Ho (C3 H6O9)] •CH3OH has been synthesized from a hydrothermal reaction and the crystal structure has been determined by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The Ho atom is coordinated by eight O atoms. The molecular is antisymmetric structure by the C2-C2 axis. The molecular structure stabilized by the O-H…O hydrogen-bonding interactions.

Abstract: The structural characteristics of the truss were introduced, and the force status of its bars was analyzed and the combination condition of loading condition for analyzing the strength of the truss was determined. This would transfer the internal complex stress state of abdominal girder withstanding the pressure into the simple compression stress state of truss rods, making it intuitive for us to know distribution and transfer of force, and then facilitating the analyzing of the structure. For example, for Pipe belt conveyor case through the establishment of the finite element model of the truss, the paper analyzed the stress, strain and displacement of its main bars while the truss being at various combination of loading condition. The results showed that: ANSYS could offer theory basis for optimization designing truss structure.

Abstract: This paper aims to demonstrate the structure analysis of strut-braced wing of a typical manufactured Light-Aircraft by using FEM software (MSC PATRAN/NASTRAN) and determine the safety margin in all of its components, which are useful to determine the structure strength requirements. The geometrical model of the wing was created in CATIA and then exported to PATRAN, which is the modeler to build the finite element model. PATRAN model geometry was modified and prepared to create the mesh. The structural components have various functions and shapes, thus different element mesh was created. After creating the finite element model for all parts, the elements and material properties were assigned and the model was fixed at the spar root edge and strut-braced end, and loaded by distributing the inertia load and aerodynamic load, calculated using (CFD), acting on the rib edge. Then the model was submitted to NASTRAN for linear static analysis. The obtained Stress Results and Safety Margins of each part were calculated and found to be acceptable.

Abstract: As the pad of a tilting pad bearing has invisible, three dimensional complicated movements around its pivot point inside the bearing case, its contact surface is difficult to establish. The loading points inside the bearing case are also not easy to predict accurately. This paper presents practical analysis techniques and loading conditions for the pad and bearing case of a tilting pad bearing in the structural analysis to meet the actual operating conditions. The analysis for the pad is conducted by applying the pressure of lubricant to the whole pad surface and constraining the circumferential degrees of freedom at nodes around the pivot. Part of the pad of boundary condition is hydraulic of practically applied lubricant and contact area of pivot and the rotational degree of freedom in line with circumferential. It is proposed to using of external case boundary condition 4 pads and 5 pads. Points of the case, combined with the pad are applied to the actual load. The result of analysis, the reliability of the pad and the case was obtained, because stress distribution is nearly identical with the actual phenomenon.

Abstract: nterferon-alpha (IFN-a) is a kind of cytokines that share antiviral, as well as immunomodulatory, and antiproliferative effects on cell functions. In this report, the cDNA for Ailuropoda melanoleucas interferon alpha was cloned from the ConA-stimulated giant panda peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) by RT-PCR. Bioinformatics analysis was performed to predict the characteristics of this gene. Sequencing revealed that the fragment was composed of 495 nucleotides, intronless, encoding a mature polypeptide with 164 amino acids and exhibiting a molecular mass of 18.15 kDa. The analysis of the functional sites and antigenic determinants demonstrated that this protein has 27 functional sites and 9 antigenic determinants, And possesses typical characteristics of interferon alpha, beta and delta family. Compared with 10 corresponding IFN-α sequences. It revealed that the GpIFN-a gene had a close evolutionary relationship with mammalians IFN-a. Phylogenetic tree based on nucleotide sequences showed that giant panda, ferret, dog and cat clustered together and evolved into a distinct phylogenetic lineage. In conclusion, all the data and consequences will provide a basis for further functional study of the Ailuropoda melanoleuca IFN-a.
