Abstract: This paper deals with the construction of the foundation pit of the East Station of Meixi Lake, belonging to Reme Area underground supporting transport system of Changsha, China. A description is given of the deformation monitoring of the open excavation. During site operations, the construction process monitoring data are continuously analyzed. It has been found that the deformations induced by the excavation of the foundation pit have some influence on the surrounding buildings. Monitoring of both horizontal pile-top displacement and ground surface settlements are extremely important to ensure safety of the neighboring constructions. Based on the monitoring information gathered during construction, engineers should adjust construction parameters to optimize the design at any moment, and adopt effective treatment measures to ensure the follow-up constructions can safely and successfully complete.

Abstract: Our country is facing special circumstances as it is now a divided nation. People are allowed to evacuate to adjacent public facilities within residential areas in the case of emergency. In particular, the main facilities of subway stations are facilities designed for the convenience of passengers so they have emergency shelter conditions. However, the legal system for the use of subway stations as temporary shelters during disasters has yet to be instituted. As a result, the consistent application of the system is difficult. The lack of correlation between the relevant laws also makes it difficult to prepare shelters quickly during an emergency. The role of relevant departments and the scope of disaster recovery may vary depending on the relevant laws. In this study, the improvement criteria were divided into four based on findings regarding the problems identified in existing standards. In conclusion, this study focuses on suggesting improvement schemes with respect to the coverage of victims, area criteria, equipment criteria, and disaster relief goods.

Abstract: By introducing the basic theory of finite element method and commercial software ANSYS, the coupling field modeling theory, according to the structure of three point bending test to establish the finite element model for the electric and mechanical coupling field simulation test structure. At the same time, with the change of load structure deformation, due to smart layer piezoresistive effect, its potential changes, which can be implemented using intelligent layer resistivity changes of structural damage detection and monitoring.

Abstract: Taking a new subway going through under the existing subway station as the engineering background, based on geological exploration data in the field, the deformation influence for the station structure of the existing subway when the main structure station constructs could be studied. It constructed a three dimensional calculation model by Ansys software to simulate the transverse and vertical deformation and the stress variation of new building line station's main structure, Through the analysis of the results,it put forward the predictive analysis to control the risk. To ensure the safety in construction process through adjust the construction scheme timely. It provided the corresponding reference for the such subway building project.

Abstract: The requirement for the utilization of a subway station as a temporary shelter is promptness. In this regard, it is necessary to make different preparations prior to the occurrence of a disaster. This study aimed to calculate the acceptable occupancy rate per space area and the acceptable sanitary provisions, to classify subway stations, and to develop a subway station selection program based on the identified standards. The subway station selection process is classified into four steps: regional understanding, acceptable-ability calculation, subway station identification, and temporary shelter building. The program thus involves these four steps. It is necessary to continuously manage and control the drawings and programs of each subway station for the efficient use of the selected system.

Abstract: According to the engineering characteristics, the project was divided into four typical operating conditions, the deformation rules of deep foundation pit at subway station in tunneling are studied with the method of FLAC3D numerical simulation, the supporting structures choose by the bored piles and interior support. The analysis of the horizontal deformation of the retaining structures, the axial force changes of steel support, the settlement law and the influence sphere of surrounding soil. For installation of prop structures on the performance of deep excavations is investigated through numerical analysis with site specific subsurface conditions,The conclusion in this paper can provides reference for the reasonable design and safety construction of deep foundation pit.

Abstract: The monitoring is carried out for deformation of the soil-mixing-wall structures used in Baijihu subway station. The horizontal displacement of deep soil is obtained, as well as the ground subsidence around the edges of the foundation pit. Their variation rules under the influence of some factors, such as soil excavation and support settings etc, is analyzed. The results show that during the process of SMW construction, it is necessary to monitor the horizontal displacement of deep soil and the ground subsidence around the edges of the foundation pit, especially during the early stage of excavation.

Abstract: Subway station fire can easily cause many calamities that lead to a large amount of social and public problems, because the smoke spread moves in the same direction as the personnel evacuation. Therefore, life safety issues caused by the subway station fire and relevant investigation should be comprehensively taken into account in the fire safety design in order to minimize the fire accident loss. Here previously reported fire accidents in the subway station are reviewed in detail and some research on the life safety of the subway station fire are presented, which could be helpful for the accident prevention and provide guidance to future study on the safety design in the subway station fire.

Abstract: On the basis of unfavorable geology of a passageway in subway station to cross urban trunk road with heavy traffic flow in Chengdu city, the comparison of two different driving methods for the underground passageway with three arches and two pillars is carried out in the paper. The result shows that both center drift-pillar method and partial bench-cut method can be used to build the passageway in the subway station. But the latter is superior to the former in reducing construction cost, risk and timescale. While the former is more efficient in controlling ground subsidence. The tubular roof protection is also designed to reinforce the shear strength of soil above the crown of the passageway before excavating the poor surrounding soil. The inventive driving procedure of partial bench-cut method presented in the paper can be utilized to guide the rational design and economical construction of shallow passageway for subway station to cross urban trunk road in weak geological strata.
