Abstract: Landslide of expansive soil slope is a serious disease and difficult to correct in highway construction. And the mechanism of landslide of expensive soil cutting slope is complex, so the traditional slope analysis method is unable to analyze it to obtain the reasonable explanation. But the numeric analytic method can obtain the stress, strain and plastic zone of side slope analysis the distortion process of earth slope and the latent sliding plane reasonably, adopt the safety factors to evaluate the slope stability, The paper based on ANSYS and adopts the nonlinear and elastoplasticity model of soil, and use the theory of the shear strength reduction method with FEM to analysis the rule of NanYou road expansive soil landslide. Abstract: Considering the influence of atmosphere action, field test of swelling force on expansive soil is carried out in Nanning Guangxi. The test sustains a whole rain season. The testing results show that swelling force is closely linked to the process of rainfall. The phenomenon, that long drought turns the rain, induces a sudden change of swelling force. But the persistence of rainfall brings different influence on vertical and horizontal swelling force. The results of field test can provide reference to optimize the engineering design.

Abstract: In order to understand the differences of swelling forces tested by three conventional methods and discuss the swelling force attenuation law with allowance of a small amount of swelling deformation, the swelling force tests of Baise expansive soil were carried out by anti-inflation pressure method using uniaxial oedometer. In addition, the swelling force tests with allowance of deformation base on the same principle of pressure expansion method were performed. The results of swelling force on the samples with two water contents and the same dry density indicated that the maximum, medium and minimum of swelling force were tested by swelling anti-pressure method, the balance pressure method and the pressure expansion method, respectively; In addition, the relationship between swelling force and expansion deformation was a negative exponential; The increase in water content of the expensive soil during practical conditions was restrained by the overburden pressure. The research results can provide the references for reasonably choosing the swelling force testing methods and the design of the expansive soil subgrade.
