Abstract: Benzyl 4-ethyloctanoate was synthesized by the reaction of 4-ethyloctanoyl chloride with benzyl alcohol, and its synthesis conditions were optimized. The yield of benzyl 4-ethyloctanoate was about 93%. Based on the synthesis of benzyl 4-ethyloctanoate, phenethyl 4-ethyloctanoate, phenylpropanol 4-ethyloctanoate and cinnamyl 4-ethyloctanoate were prepared. The odor evaluations indicate that these four new ester compounds have floral and sweet note. These ester compounds have relatively high molecular weights and can be used as fixing agent to prolong the fragrance compounds lifetime.

Abstract: the copolymer which as a hair fixing compositions was synthesized by using octyl-acrylamide,acrylicacid,methylmethacrylate,butylaminoethyl-methacrylate,hydroxypropyl methacrylate as monomers, and ammonium persulfate as initiator.The copolymer was charactered by IR .The tensile test and the elasticlty test were used to character the physical properties of the films of the copolymer which showed that the film had revealed excellent features such as sufficient strength and elasticity.

Abstract: According to the chiral resolution mechanism and structures of Pirkle’s chiral stationary phase (CSP), a new amide chiral selector base on pracoterol has been prepared in this thesis. In order to get a better yield, all the conditions and purification conditions of the reactions were investigated, and the key products were characterized by HPLC, FT-IR and 1H NMR. This chiral selector may be developed as chiral selector of CSP.

Abstract: Abstract. Two applied synthesis techniques of bentazone were introduced including the disadvantages. Innovative adjustments were developed to eliminate the produce of waste water in isatoic anhydride route, and determined as: DMF as the solvent of o-amino-benzoyl isopropylamine preparation, based on certain treatments bentazone sodium salt solution as the product, soda lime as hydrolysis reagent to eliminate phosphorus oxychloride. With 95% recycling rate of 2-methyl pyridine, in the sodium salt aqueous solution, bentazone was prepared from isatoic anhydride with the yield of 85.5% and purity of 98%.

Abstract: The synthesis of (S)-1-benzyl-3-pyrrolidinol is described. Starting from L-malic acid and benzylamine, we improved the synthesis of (S)-1-benzyl-3-hydroxypyrrolidine-2, 5-dione via melting reaction, without using any solvent. Followed by reduction with sodium borohydride-iodine in tetrahydrofuran, we synthesized the target compound. We used IR spectra to study the process of the reduction and modified the reaction conditions. It is the first time we reported (S)-1-benzyl-3-pyrrolidinol-borane which is the intermediate of the reduction with sodium borohydride-iodine system, and its spectral data (IR, 1H NMR, 11B NMR, MS spectroscopy).

Abstract: The title compound has been prepared and characterized by P1PHNMR, FT-IR, fluorescence spectrum and thermal analysis. The crystal and molecular structures of dimethyl-(4-(7-acetoxyl-2H -chromen-2-one))-methyl-(2-acrylate)-ethyl-ammonium bromide were determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The compound crystallizes in Monoclinic system, space group C2/c, with lattice parameters a = 22.799(5), b =12.122(2), c =14.580(3) Å, β = 90.76(3)°, Mr = 440.29, V = 4029.1(14) ÅP3P, Z = 8, Dc= 1.452 g/cmP3P, F(000) = 1808, R = 0.0679 and wR = 0.1450. In the structure, The four N-C bond distances are in the range of 1.473(6) ~ 1.531(6) Å. The P1PHNMR and FT-IR data are in agreement with the structural data. The title compound also shows good fluorescent behaviors. The fluorescent intensity changed little at pH ranging from 7.5 to 9.5. The pH value of the circulation cooling water is in this range so that the title compound can be used in tracer detection.

Abstract: A series of novel Schiff base containing diacetylferrocene and 5-alkyl-2-amino-1,3,4 -thiodizoles were reported in this paper. Diacetylferrocene(Ⅱ) was synthesised with ferrocene(Ⅰ) and acetyl chloride with AlCl3 as catalyst in CH2Cl2. In the presence of diacetylferrocene and 5-alkyl-2-amino-1,3,4-thiodizole reacted under solvent and catalyst condition to furnish Schiff base containing diacetylferrocene and 5-alkyl-2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazoles(Ⅲ). Chemical structures have been confirmed by elemental annalysis and the spectral techniques of FTIR,1H NMR. Antimicrobial activity (in vitro) was evaluated against the two pathogenic bacterial strains. The compounds have shown better activity.

Abstract: 2-Acetyl-2'-methoxylacetanilide has been synthesized by the reaction of 2-methoxylaniline and ethyl acetoacetate in toluene solution. The compound was characterized by MS, Infrared spectrum, 1HNMR and X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis. The results show that the compound is target product. The crystal data for 2-acetyl-2'-methoxylacetanilide: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, Mr= 207.22, De = 1.309 g/cm3, F (000) = 440, R = 0.0826 and wR = 0.1822. The complex forms layered structure through ••• stacking interaction.

Abstract: 2-Acetyl-2'-chloroacetanilide has been prepared using 2-chloroaniline and ethyl acetoacetate as starting material in toluene solution. The compound was characterized by mass spectrum, infrared spectrum, 1HNMR, 13CNMR spectra and X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis. The results show that the C=O bond lengths are 1.206(3) Å and 1.195(3) Å, which implies that the molecule is in the keto form. The complex forms layered structure through ••• stacking interaction.
