Abstract: Enzyme-added detergent must have the capability to operate at high temperature to support the enzyme proteins to clean soiled-fabrics at optimum conditions. Lipase from Bacillus stearothermophilus nr22 (Lip.nr-22) has improved the oil removal from soiled-cotton fabric by 38.8-51.4% in 4 types of local commercial detergents. The later was the oil removal from an unrevealed detergent. The optimum conditions were 108U/ml Lip.nr-22 in 0.1M, pH 7.0, washing temperature and washing time interval as 80°C and 40 min, respectively; shaking wash at 300 rpm and percentage of detergent concentration as 0.5. Lip.nr-22 is a very potential enzyme in high temperature-neutral pH operated laundry detergent formulations. It has exhibited a very excellent thermostability at 80°C, was very stable with surfactants, commercial detergents as well as with oxidizing agents (H2O2, NaBO3H2O and NaClO). Lip.nr-22 as additive in detergent formulation is a promise for better detergent formulation.

Abstract: Radiation processing of polymers is a well-established and economical commercial method of precisely modifying the properties of polymers, especially thermo-mechanical properties. The tensile behaviour of modified HDPE samples by radiation cross-linking was measured at the ambient temperature and after temperature load at 220 °C. The tested samples showed significant changes of thermo-mechanical properties and tensile behaviour after 220 °C. From this point of view, new applications could also be seen in areas with service temperatures higher than their former melting point.

Abstract: Radiation processing of polymers is a well-established and economical commercial method of precisely modifying the properties of polymers, especially temperature stability. The tensile behaviour of modified HDPE samples by radiation cross-linking were measured at the ambient and after temperature load. Sample 3D scans were made and investigated before and after temperature load. The tested samples showed significant changes of temperature stability. From this point of view, new applications could also be seen in areas with service temperatures higher than their former melting point.

Abstract: Radiation processing of polymers is a well-established and economical commercial method of precisely modifying the properties of polymers. The principle of radiation processing is the ability of high energy radiation to produce reactive cations, anions and free radicals in materials. The industrial applications of the radiation processing of plastics and composites include polymerization, cross-linking, degradation and grafting. Radiation processing mainly involves the use of either electron beams from electron accelerators or gamma radiation from Cobalt-60 sources. The PBT Polybutylene terephthalate tested showed significant changes of temperature stability and mechanical properties after irradiation. From this point view, new applications could also be seen in areas with service temperatures higher than their former melting point. The comparison of the temperature stability and mechanical properties of irradiated and non-irradiated PBT is presented in this paper.

Abstract: Y2.20-xCa0.80GdxV0.40In0.15Fe4.45O12 garnet ferrite samples were prepared by solid-state reaction method, the effect of Gd-substitution on the microstructure and electromagnetic properties of YIG were systematically investigated. The results show that the substitution of Gd3+ makes the Ms~T curve more flat which improve the temperature stability of saturation magnetization; meanwhile, it appreciably increases the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth and spin wave linewidth.

Abstract: Abrasive medium plays an important role in the application of abrasive flow machining (AFM), a process that finishes complex internal and external geometries. A new abrasive medium needs to be fabricated due to a lack of literature on it. In this work, a new abrasive medium was fabricated by using styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) as carrier and DF-101S was used to study its characterization. Results showed that new abrasive medium with good fluidity and temperature stability was obtained. Processing experiments have also been carried out by using new abrasive medium and MLLD60, and ZYGO was used to study the surface characteristics of the work-piece. Experimental results indicate that the new abrasive medium is applicable to AFM process.

Abstract: The temperature stability of scale factor (SF) has been analyzed and tested systematically for an optical voltage sensor (OVS) based on Pockels effect in this paper. The cardinal temperature sensitive parameters in sensor head and their impacts on SF are brought out by theoretical analysis and simulation method. Corresponding experiments are arranged to verify the validity of theoretical analysis. A real-time temperature compensation system is fabricated to reduce the error of SF in temperature fluctuation environment and its effectiveness is certified by experiment.

Abstract: This paper introduces an asphalt mixture that mixed with different admixtures, rutting resistance agent and lignin fiber, at the same time. Rutting test and freeze-thaw splitting test are used to analyze rutting resistance on the high temperature and low temperature cracking of the asphalt mixture. The experiments with different mixes material composition are conducted to analysis various properties of the two admixtures on the mixture, especially the high temperature stability, low temperature crack resistance and the law of improvement effect. In addition, the experiments also determine the optimal asphalt content of different type of mixtures. The results showed that the single-doped KTL rutting resistance or lignin fibers have some improvement in water temperature performance of asphalt mixture, stability improvement of double-doped admixture asphalt mixture is better than the single-doped asphalt mixture, such as KTL rutting resistance agents and lignin fibers

Abstract: Y-waveguide is widely used in the integrated optics, among which the beam-splitting ratio and insertion loss are the most critical parameters. The measurement setups and methods for the two parameters are introduced. The temperature is the most important factor to the stability of Y-waveguide. As for the insertion loss, the measurement setup was built up based on the measurement principle, and the factors which affected the measurement of the insertion loss were analyzed. As for the beam-splitting ratio, the output luminous power for two tail fibers of Y-waveguide was measured respectively. In different temperature condition, we study the error of FOG by various beam-splitting ratio after working out the beam-splitting ratio according to the formula. Then put into compensation implement.

Abstract: To improve the temperature stability of PMN(Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3)-based ceramics, PMN-based composite ceramics were prepared by co-sintering two kinds of ceramics with different curie temperature. One unit is MHT(0.82PMN (Pb (Mg1/3Nb2/3) O3) -0.18PT (PbTiO3) (the curie temperature Tm=74°C)), and the other unit is MLT (0.88PMN (Pb (Mg1/3Nb2/3) O3)-0.12BT (BaTiO3) (the curie temperature Tm=-50°C)). The effects of the sintering temperature and the ratio of high and low Tm units on dielectric temperature stability were studied. The results show that the temperature stability can be improved greatly by co-sintering and coating method. The results show that PMN(Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3)-based composite ceramics are promising candidate for practical applications.
