Abstract: This paper focused on synthesizing the surfactant lyotropic liquid crystals (LLCs) through mixing the coconut diethanol amide (6501), primary alcobol ethoxylate (AEO9) and water. The LLCs phases formed in the ternary system are thoroughly investigated by polarized optical microscopy (POM). The obtained LLCs were characterized by XRD and SEM in order to analysis the texture, structure and the transformation. In addition, the LLCs have been applied in the preparation of TiO2 nanoparticles in our research. The obtained TiO2 powder were characterized by XRD and SEM, more importantly, the results showed that the LLCs are effective in the process of synthesizing TiO2 nanoparticles.

Abstract: Lead-based piezoelectric ceramics have excellent piezoelectric properties with the compositions near the rhombohedral-tetragonal morphotropic phase boundary (MPB)[1,2]. In these materials, the dielectric and piezoelectric properties show the maximal values at MPB. For lead-free piezoelectric ceramics, finding the MPB area is a promising way to improve their properties. In this paper, the (1-x-y)BaZrO3-x(K0.45Na0.5Li0.05)NbO3-yBi (Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3 lead-free piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by solid-state reaction method, and their piezoelectric properties and dielectric properties were investigated. With the increase of KNLN content, the crystal structure changed from rombohedral phase to tetragonal phase, thus existed a MPB[3,4] between rombohedral and tetragonal phase. At room temperature, the specimen with the composition at MPB (x=0.93, y=0.01) shows the optimal piezoelectric properties (d33=225pC/N and kp=45%), which indicates that this material is a potential lead-free piezoceramic.

Abstract: It is essential that concrete component is made up with aggregate, sand, cement and water. But recently, Public concern is increasing of a variety structure, resource recycle. Also, According to heat of hydration rising, Concrete is making a causative of concrete-crack. Concrete-crack causes a falling-off in quality of concrete. Therefore, high-performance concrete is evaluated by concrete mechanical properties (compressive strength, splitting tensile strength) with different admixture (fixing W/B 34%), fly ash, blast furnace slag, and silica fume replacement ratio (50%, 50%, and 25%).

Abstract: The costs of salt flux treatment have received a strong industry focus as solid flux addition has replaced the usage of Chlorine for alkali and inclusion reduction. The magnesium chloride component has historically had the higher cost incidence but since 2008 the potassium chloride component because of its role as feedstock of fertilizer production has been subject to large commodity price driven fluctuations and rose 350% in 200 – 2009. As demand for world food production and bio fuels increases as the global economy recovers further price rises can be anticipated. A programme of work and field results are presented on the development of an alternative flux system based on a ternary composition.

Abstract: The paper deals with phase diagram calculations and predictions of selected binary, ternary, and Zr-Nb-O-H quaternary system. These systems are important as alloy base for cladding materials involving fissionable fuel in nuclear industry. The main attention is focused on the phase diagram prediction of Zr-1wt.%Nb-O alloy system at temperature conditions up to 2 000 °C. In addition, the influence of hydrogen content on the Zr-1wt.%Nb-O phase diagram is discussed. According to service conditions in nuclear industry, 1 000, 2 000 and 3 000 ppm of hydrogen contents are considered. The achieved results are presented as iso-concentration section of the phase diagrams. Impact on mechanical properties of the material under view is discussed.

Abstract: In this work, the notion of matrix-valued multiresolution analysis of space L2(Rn, Cs×s) is introduced. A method for constructing orthogonal matrix-valued ternary wavelet packs is developed and their properties are discussed by means of time-frequency analysis method, matrix theory and functional analysis method. Three orthogonality formulas concerning these wavelet packets are provided. Finally, new orthonormal wavelet pack bases of space L2(Rn, Cs×s) are obtained by constructing a series of subspaces of orthogonal matrix-valued wavelet packets.

Abstract: A simple but thermodinamically well-founded method is described for the recalculation
of liquidus surfaces and partition coefficients of multicomponent equilibrium phase diagrams used a data file of the liquidus temperature and partition coefficients calculated by CALPHAD method. The applicability of the method is shown in case of Al-Mg-Si ternary alloy systems.
