Abstract: The paper deals with the research on the properties of secondary raw materials resulting from the recycling of used tyres and their potential utilization for the production of construction insulations. Evaluation of the possibilities of utilization and a complex analysis has been executed on the basis of the defined basic physical, thermal-insulating and fire properties of the raw textile fibres examined. The results of the research on the material examined indicate possible exploitation of this potential material for the construction of environmentally-friendly objects. Thermal insulating parameters have been determined by the value of thermal conductivity coefficient λ. For measuring of thermal conductivity coefficient of fibres has been used the special laboratory device – the Cooling Box. Physical properties have been determined by microscopic examination and by laboratory measuring of fibres length, diameter, pour bulk and compressed bulk densities. Fire characteristics were determined during several fire tests of textile fibres. On the basis of performed fire test has been determined the combustion heat, flash point (FIT) and ignition temperature (SIT).

Abstract: The current development of new potential fibers is widening the areas of application. One of the current potential fibers developed is pineapple leaf fiber (PALF). PALF have been widely used as a raw material for pulp and paper making industry in Malaysia recently. Due to its enhanced properties, PALF now is commercialized as an alternative textile fiber. PALF is one of the high textile grade fibers which are commonly extracted by decorticator machine. PALF is silky, fine and textile grade. Hence, it has been widely used to make apparel. Apart from being used as an alternative fiber for home textile and apparel, PALF meet the basic requirement to be used as technical fibers. This paper presented the possibility of PALF utilization as technical fibers in rope making. PALF have similarity properties with others natural rope fibers and its can be spun into rope yarn. Instead of having a good strength, PALF also have a reasonable length as well as can be pliable. All of these are the main principle of rope making fibers. As PALF have meet this entire requirement, it can be said that its have huge potential to be used as rope making fibers.

Abstract: The high strength high plasticity high beneficial textile cold-rolling steel with 540MPa tensile strength 27% elongation 1.67 (111) textile index is developed in industry. The experimental results show that the ferrite fine grain around 5μm supports the properties of both high strength and plasticity, while the ferrite with percentage more than 90% leads to high elongation, and the large number second precipitation phase NbC with uniform fine size around 10nm is helpful to fine ferrite grain and form strong(111)textile fiber.

Abstract: The recycling process of waste textile fiber materials could be divided into two parts: one is that waste textile fiber materials turn into recycled fibers, and the other is the use of recycled fiber process. To solve the first problem, it’s important to classify it in a reasonable way. In accordance with the main characteristics of fiber materials, new model of classification is established through three elements: color, finishing agents and twist. According to the new model of classification and different requests in recycled fiber, twenty-seven methods are proposed. Furthermore, taking waste polyester fiber materials as an example, economic cost analysis is used to assess the feasible ways in recycling waste fiber materials.

Abstract: The vulva-vaginal infections are common in women. The textile materials, used in underwear and absorbent hygiene products, are identified as risk factors, but their influence on the emergence of these infections is not yet clear. Bacterial adhesion is associated with persistence of microorganisms in the material that is related to the recurrence of infections. This paper is an initial attempt for the elucidation of these questions. Some of the main features involved in this phenomenon are identified and characterized.
