Abstract: Multi-wedge Cross Wedge Rolling (MCWR) is an advanced technology in forming long axial parts, and it does not have the disadvantages of Single-wedge Cross Wedge Rolling (SCWR).However, it is extremely important to realize the regularity of the displacement on the end-section of the rolled parts in MCWR due to the complexity of its forming mechanism. In this paper, based on the method of the displacement on the end-section of the rolled parts in SCWR, the rules of the displacement on the end-section of a typical rolled part in MCWR were investigated theoretically, and the curve on the end -section of the rolled part in MCWR were analyzed.Based on the curve, the regularity of metal flowing and the characteristic of forming for the typical rolled part in each phase by MCWR were analyzed. It is of high value in studying the forming mechanism and designing mould and technics in MCWR.

Abstract: Regarding the distribution modes of longitudinal horizontal seismic forces of single-story factory building with no purlin concrete roof, there are conflicts between Sections 9.8.1 and 5.2.6 in the Seismic Design of Buildings GB50011-2010[1]. We suggested distributing the longitudinal seismic forces according to the proportion of the gravity loads on the subordinate areas of the lateral force components. We recommended replacing clause 1 of section 9.1.8 with “Don’t consider the effective stiffness of the enclosure walls or the partition walls”. Then for the example in Single-story Factory building Design Examples, we calculated the longitudinal seismic forces with two methods, and proved the our recommended method was correct.

Abstract: In order to provide some possible scientific guidance for the investigation to puff dispersion of hazardous gas, some theoretical methods were used to deduce the critical parameters for description of puff dispersion behavior. In addition, some important issues such as how to distinguish dense gas dispersion from non-dense gas dispersion and the whole process to investigate a typical puff dispersion problem are also discussed. Finally some useful algorithms for standard deviation of concentration distribution over time, standard along-wind dispersion coefficient, et al. are deduced. These results can be potential scheme for puff field tests, wind tunnel experiments and especially for numerical simulations.

Abstract: The proper role of government in economic development is one of the biggest single issues confronting China today. The paper attempts to trace and describe the role played by the government in renewable energy development. The goals focused in the article are two ones. The first one is to explore the theoretical basis on the role of government. The second one is to examine the practices in China. Based on the analysis of theory and practices in China, the paper argues that government propelling is quite crucial to renewable energy development, and concludes that further incentive policies and implementation system should be improved.

Abstract: High-Resolution Ultrasonic Spectroscopy (HRUS) is a novel analytical technique for non-destructive material analysis for a wide range of samples and processes. This technique is based on precision measurements of velocity and attenuation of acoustical waves at high frequencies propagating through materials. It has considerable advantages over many alternative technologies because it can be applied to systems that are optically opaque and concentrated without the need of any sample preparation. It provides an unprecedented range of new analytical capabilities for research, product development, quality and process control. Applications of this technique include analysis of solution-phase crystallization, aggregation and gelation phenomena, particle sizing, stability of emulsions and suspensions, microstructural transitions and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Here, we review the theory of the HRUS and its applications on crystallization process.

Abstract: Biomass energy is an important component of household energy consumption in rural areas of China. However, under current exploitation levels, the energy source is beset with both theoretical and practical challenges, and its sustainable utilization is seriously restricted. One key to solving this problem is the establishment of a theoretical framework for the sustainable use of biomass energy by rural households. Based on the new viewpoint that biomass energy is a type of ‘weakly’ renewable energy, this paper provides the first theoretical basis outlining the sustainable use of biomass energy in rural households, including systems theory, the theory of ecological carrying capacity, the utility theory, the theory of ecological economics and the theory of natural resource values. The relationships among these theories are also discussed. In addition, four conditions governing the theoretical sustainable use of biomass energy by rural households are analyzed: the sustainability of the resource supply, the sustainability of biomass energy production, the sustainability of consumer acceptance, and the sustainability of ecological environmental effects.

Abstract: This paper develops a set of tri-cone bit CAD system based on UG platform relying on using parametric design idea; studies the systematic structure and development principle of the cone bit CAD system; molds the cone, tooth and tooth slot by using the basic theory of parametric design and feature modeling corresponding to the example, and realizes the assembly of cone and tooth and virtual assembly of three cones. This system interface is simple, intuitive, easy to operate, and has good human-computer interaction and scalability and portability. This paper provides a research base for the developing a more perfect tri-cone bit CAD system on UG.

Abstract: A mechanics model of vertical impact damping system was founded based on the experimental device introduced in [1], and interrelated theory research was made on the mechanics model. The analytical solution of system dynamical response was gained using transfer function combining with the system’s neighboring boundary compatibility conditions in the fact of the piecewise linear characteristics of the system.

Abstract: Urban and Rural Integration development is a stage of urbanization process. China’s long-term imbalance in urban-rural development breaks down the obstacles posed by urban beneficiaries of inequality. China has already adopted a raft of policy measures to promote urban-rural integration which are currently having a positive impact to eliminate dual structure. The reform of Suzhou in urban and rural integrated development is not only inherent demand, but also the obligation to the national and regional development. This study summarizes the current theory and model on urban and rural development, builds research framework, and explores practical experience on urban and rural integrated planning in Suzhou City.
