Abstract: The drilling conditions are becoming more severe, which leads to the need to select new polymeric materials that can withstand heavy loads, provide a longer resource and are more resistant to high temperatures. To solve the problem, a set of laboratory tests on standard and specialized tribological equipment is proposed. The friction force, wear resistance under various conditions and according to various criteria, hardness at normal and elevated temperatures, thermal field during tests, change in the roughness of a steel counterbody as a result of tests are evaluated. Wear resistance is determined using a PBD-40 friction machine. Samples are cylindrical bodies with a diameter of (5.0 ± 0.5) mm, a height of 10.0 mm from the materials under study. The samples are fixed in the designed fixture. As a result of the tests, the average values of the parameters for the investigated materials were determined, and the effects arising from friction were noted. The criteria for choosing a material have been formulated and the most suitable material for the tread has been selected.

Abstract: Pure calcium carbonate, chalk, and coal wastes are taken as starting materials. The Gibbs energy of calcium carbonate decarbonization reactions is calculated. By the method of thermodynamic analysis, the effect of carbon and its gasification products on the calcium carbonate decarbonization process is investigated. The intensifying effect of organic matter during heat treatment of calcium carbonate is shown. In addition to carbon, the decarbonization reactions are influenced by gases evolved as a result of the gasification of the organic part of the coal waste. It is theoretically proven that the organic component of coal waste contributes to lowering the temperature of the onset and end of the decomposition of calcium carbonate. To confirm the theoretical background, experimental studies of the behavior of mixtures during heating have been carried out. The effect of organic matter on decarbonization of pure calcium carbonate and chalk has been studied. Thermograms have shown that less caloric energy is required for the decarbonization of chalk than for the decarbonization of pure CaCO3. Organic transformations occur in the material layer, which contributes to intensive heat transfer. The products of thermochemical transformations of the organic mass increase the efficiency of the process of decarbonization of calcium carbonate using the waste of coal enrichment in the composition of the raw mix. The organic component of the waste not only reduces the amount of heat energy expended on the endothermic process of calcination, its presence in the raw material mix reduces the temperature of the process of calcination as pure calcium carbonate and chalk.

Abstract: The article presents the results of overall acid fluoride raw material utilization for obtaining dry building mixes. It demonstrates that waste acid fluoride, stored for a substantial amount of time in waste piles is a crystallizing fuse for anhydrite binding materials providing improved strength performance and reduction of solidification time. Overall utilization of acid fluoride allows solving ecological problems and reduces the cost of anhydrite finishing materials due to absence of sulfate chemical additives.

Abstract: A method of the thermovision study for solving the problems of the experimental mechanics is presented. The method of the experimental study of deformation and fracture is based on the registration and interpretation of the infrared radiation pattern of a sample, which is caused by plastic deformations and material fracture. The thermofilm shows the kinetics of the sample deformation. Thermograms allow estimation of the plastic deformation zones. The characteristic changes in the temperature of a sample correspond to the limiting states of the material. Examples of studying the deformation and fracture of constructional steels under the conditions of the homogeneous and heterogeneous limiting states with the use of the thermovision method are given.
