Abstract: In this study, TiO2 nanopowder was synthesized via a sol-gel grinding method. The effects of TiO2 precursor concentration of TiO2 nanopowder were investigated. The TiO2 nanopowder obtained were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) for their structural properties. From the calculation of the crystallite size in XRD, the size of the nanoparticles obtained is 49.55 nm at the highest TiO2 precursor concentration. In contrast, at the lower concentration of 0.4 molar give the cryatallite size of 12.84 nm. Further, XRD and Raman spectrum results confirmed the TiO2 nanopowder obtain composed of only anatase phase. The FESEM micrographs of TiO2 nanopowder also were discussed in this paper.

Abstract: In this paper, nano-sized titanium dioxide particles were prepared by homogeneous precipitation method using industrial TiOSO4 as raw material. The morphology, crystal structures and the crystal transformation were characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and thermogravimetry-differential thermogravimetric analyzer (TG-DTA) respectively. The impact factors on the production rate and the diameters of nano-TiO2 were investigated. The factors include the reaction temperature, the concentrations of reactants, the molar ratios of reactants, the reaction time, the calcination temperature, and the calcination time. The results indicated that nano anatase titanium dioxide in uniform phase could be obtained under a reaction temperature of 90°C, the concentration of TiO2+ at 0.8mol/L, the reaction time of 4h, the ratio of CO(NH2)2 to TiOSO4 as 1:3, followed by a calcination period of 2h under 600°C,

Abstract: In this work, we report the sol-gel alkoxide route preparation of nanostructured SiO2 and TiO2 powders as well as TiO2-SiO2 thin films obtained by dip-coating. Thermal analysis, morphology and structure were characterized for powders and correlation between preparation method and optical properties of binary materials (SiO2-TiO2) for thin films was approached. Spectroscopic Ellipsometry (SE), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) have been used for the physical characterization of the films.

Abstract: This research investigated the water purification performance of thin film with anatase phase TiO2 powder having good photocatalytic property using an innovative aerosol deposition method at the normal room temperature. Fresh raw powder was dehydrated for good dispersion of TiO2 powder. To suppress the formation of second particle, the powder was dispersed for 90 minutes in alcohol bath with ultrasonic treatment and then desiccated. The average grain size of particle was identified to be 1µm in TiO2 thin film deposited on stainless steel mesh by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The anatase phase of TiO2 thin film was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The anatase phase of fresh raw powder was favorably maintained after aerosol deposition treatment.
