Abstract: at present, the product quality that tire building machine presses tire is not ideal. The phenomenon that the tread isn’t pressed solidly often appears. Through analysis, the main reasons of this problem are those the actual rolling curve doesn’t accord with ideal curve enough, and roller pressure is unstable, pressure fluctuations are large. Therefore, ensuring the basic structure of institution is unchanged, this paper adopts optimization technique to calculate the size of planar linkage institutions and determine the best design result. It makes the moving point from the planar linkage institutions accord with tire section curve best. The article cites example of the engineering design, demonstrating the superiority of the new design method fully.

Abstract: By analyzing the technology process of all steel radial truck tire building machine, the author finds that there is a big potential of improvement both in stitching effect and efficiency. A new kind of stitching and control device is designed to replace the original. The new device can realize the soft stitching of tire, which reduces redundant actions and thus optimizes the process and improves the stitching efficiency. It is found in tests that the optimized process reduces the blister defectives greatly. Both productivity and quality of tires are improved significantly. It shows a big economic benefit.

Abstract: according to the poor quality situation that tire building machine presses tire in current market, the thesis analyses the reasons that press roll presses tire uncompactedly and tire layer has bubbles in the process of tire building machine repression. A new design method that is the optimal design of oscillating oil cylinder mechanism of tire building machine is presented. In the premise of meeting the movement performance of mechanism, it not only can maintain that the pressing roll fits in the best pressure, but also enables wave motion of fitting tire pressure in the allowable scope when mechanism is in the dynamic movement. The article cites examples of the design, demonstrates the superiority of the new design method fully.

Abstract: Based on the working principle and working process of the tire building machine, the spindle model of the tire building machine was established by analyzing the load of the spindle. Utilizing COSMOS to do the FEM analysis, the structural optimization was carried out. The deflection of the spindle determining the precision of the tire should be minimized. Meanwhile, in order to reduce the cost of the spindle, the volume of the spindle should be minimized. In this paper, the weighted coefficient method was applied to solving this multi-objective optimization problem. As no ready-made formula was found for the deflection of the spindle, the following method was adopted. Firstly, the calculation in COSMOS with different values was conducted, and then the curve fitting was finished in MATLAB to get the formula between defection and diameter of bore, and finally the optimization of the volume and defection was achieved.
